Dear CAT aspirants,
IFMR, Chennai, a premier institute for Finance will be holding a "Visit Campus" programme to help the MBA aspirants. The program is focused on helping out you all to know the feel of what it takes to do an MBA and the real challenges.

The program will begin with talks from well known professors of IFMR on various topics to give you an insight of the real corporate world and what MBA is all about.

This will be followed by an interaction with Seniors wherein you can ask any question related to MBA, placements & life at IFMR.

This will be followed by a "Campus Tour" which allows you to explore IFMR. This will also include a mock GD and mock Interview which aims at exploiting your strengths and weaknesses.

And at the end of the day, there will be a high tea.

Hi everyone
I am Nikhil Bhatia student of IFMR Chennai. This post is regarding IFMR expected cut off for 2008. For the last three years IFMR's cut-off has been 85 and this year also it would be around it as the school. The cut-off shown by IMS and CL are misleading and may prompt you to fill the form even with low percentiles and spoil your money. I suggest you all to fill the form if you are expecting your cut-off to be atleast 80. Any questions welcome.

hi, i have work exp of 1.5 years in software... i am expecting percentile around 80 in cat... i have 83% in 10, 90% in 12th, 74% in my engg. want to apply for PGDM...
1. what r my chances...

2.application form for IFMR asks for 2 refrences, one from academics and i from work... but i don think i can give any references from workplace... is that ok???

3.what was the avg ctc for PGDM batch last time??

Well folks, I'm sending in my app. for PGDM-FE via XAT, even though I don't have a first div. except in 12th std.

Hello Balaji,

Here are answers to your questions..

1. Last year and the year before the cut off was 85%ile. Other scores are quite impressive. Hence you can be optimistic to get a call from IFMR.

2. Its always better to give some references, but if you are not willing to provide that then its perfectly fine.

3. It was 5.6 lac/annum.
