IFMR Admission Queries for the year 2008

Can any one tell me what is the total number of seat in IFMR.?????
Is there any special reservation for SC/ST/BC/MBC.?

hi there!
i'm a student from the current batch (2008-10). Our batch has 82 students. the capacity is of course a li'l higher, at 120. But IFMR takes only those who r appropriate, so, numbers is'nt the top priority.....n there r no caste based reservations in here....as u might hav already figured out, the first shortlist is based on CAT n XAT scores, graduation n XII marks....followed by GDPI. That's all.
Any more queries?...do revert back!

i have poor academics.........

10th:85%
12th:91%
b.e(EEE):59%......

and last year got 95 percentile in cat.........expecting to get better than last year in cat08..........is there any chance..........

HI,
1. A new thread has been started for the queries relating to the forthcoming batch of 2009-10. so it will be better if further queries are posted there.
2. IFMR expects a consistency of 60% and above in the past academic track. It wont consider anyone less than this criteria.

Can I again apply through my XAT reg no(as last date through XAT is JAn 31 nd for CAt its Dec 10) if I am not shortlisted through CAT score

Hi Shinesh,

Assuming that u haven't sent in ur applicatn yet, i suggest u give the reg. no. of both CAT n XAT. This will ensure that they'll look at both scores if reqd. Also, u can get more clarity on this if u call at the office once. As, for us, i had submitted in jan with both CAT n XAT, as per the instructions. So do call up n find out.

I request you to post your queries in the thread, 'IFMR Admission Queries 2009-11' hereon, as it is more active n u will surely get replies faster.
