i had applied for iiswbm .i saw there list but not a single south indian in the list.i got call from imdr which is much rated then iiswbm.so any guys know about this matter | | | | | | | |

iiswbm, though a reputed institute mainly because of it having completed around 50 years is at a disadvantage due to its location.it is situated in the heart of calcutta, which u very well know, dosent have a very good reputation as an industry friendly city. but things seem to be changing nowadays, though only slightly.faculty and course content is decent, as far as i know.had it been situated in a happening city it would have had far better placements.in case u dont get in any other decent institutes, u can give it a try but dont make it your first choice.
the above information is as far as my knowledge goes.please verify it from somewhere else before making a final decision. | | | | | | | |

the above information is as far as my knowledge goes.please verify it from somewhere else before making a final decision. | I will like to differ with u in this matter. yup i agree that the insti had some probs in the past but things have changed if not drastically these days. city of joy is no way lagging behind these days may it in IT or the recent bullish retail industry. this year placement has not been that bad with 4.8 lkh as avg and mind u looking by the fees a mere 3.36 thats not bad. i will also like to highlight one point that highest package is not that high i.e 6.2 aprox so that means most of the people got around 4 mark. this is the info that i got from my college junior who is currently studying in the insti. so no love lost my friend but meagre knowledge may not come handy ......
