IMT-N will be certainly better as 1. course is bit old than LBSIM
2. have a residential course
3. Placements have been pretty good.

i got thru LBSIM n Fore....waiting the result of NIRMA and KJ Somaiya and hopeful in both of them...
plzz let meknow which one 2 join out of four colleges....
i intend 2 take OPERATIONS specialization...how is it ???

I am a little bit confused about the choices.As my inclination is towards finance...

I have below options open.

LBSIM(PGDM)

FORE(IB)

IMT-Nagpur(Finance)

I am having 2+ exp in IT, already having a package of 5+ but don't want to go for marketing...your earlier comment on the choices indicates that IMT-N is better than LBSIM as faculty is concerned..also i am going to choose Finance as a major in PGDM.If i will take admission anywhere

which i can also choose as optional subject in IB(Fore) as in this course there is no major and minor.Any laterals plcmt details

1. Somaiya
2. Nirma
3. Fore
4. LBSIM

I would suggest you to not to join LBSIM take info abt fore n IMT on laterals as i hav no clue of that......in LBSIM even a chartered accountant was not well placed........u can expect a salary of around 6 in LBSIM that u r anyways getting...again the finance hard core placements are not good in LBSIM....agian as FInance course is starting so companies coming will prepfer those candidates rather than like u with majors finance.....

a suggestion to all of u , take decissions on ur own by considering all the benefits & negatives of institutes as ur whole life depends on this single decission...
dont go with any individuals view as the person is posting here, as its his own views regarding different institutes..

as far as comparing imt-fin(nagpur) and lbsim-finance , i would suggest lbsim coz nagpur's placements is not that gud as imt-g and insti is in the outskirts of nagpur..

but each insti has its own points , just consider all of them , whether its somaya, nirma, fore , lbsim ,tapmi ,imt or any other


a serious request once again please dont influenced by single person's view .take suggestions from maximum people and do only what ur heart says to u...so that u dont blame anyone else for influencing ur decissons by saying wrong abt any insti...

this year highest package is 14.5 lakh and average is 7.58L,

ya laterals get some preference over others and better package, it mainly depends upon the company....

there is not much demand of operations by companies in our insti.. but u never know by the time u pass out , companies start coming,as the brand of lbsim is increasing...

lbsim got a name in market in just 13 years since its inception as compared to other instis which are there from 25+ years ......so the growing curve of lbsim is steeper than others.....


i really doubt that somaiya and nirma are above overall, though they have beeter infra , but infra is not everything guys....u have to look at other things too.............
