NITIE - 2008 -2010 Admissions Queries

Hi !

I have 2 queries.

My CAT 2007 score is
Quant 39
DI 24
VA 34
Overall - 97

I have 3 and a half years experience. What ae my chances of getting a call from NITIE?

The other one being that I had filled the online application form in the beginning of the month. But due to some reasons was unable to send the DD within 7 days. Will my application be rejected because of this? If yes then can I apply again?

hi all.. can any one pls tel me if architects(B.Arch-its a five yr professional course) can also apply for pgdim... i gave cat this sunday... it wud b of gr8 help if u can find this out for me.. cos i read in the website tht eng/tech or any equivalent can apply..,. thanx in advance

I am yet to apply for NITIE ...
My predicted scores are as below:
QA: 38
DI: 28
VA: 28

Total : 94

Also I am having the work ex. of more than 2 years...and I have passed B.E. examination with distinction (more than 70%) from Mumbai University.

Can anyone tell me what are my chances of getting a call??

If u have completed your graduation then you need to submit the xerox of the final degree certificate, mentioning you have passed your engineering with first class. However, if you don't have one, then you need to submit a provisional stating the same as above. But, ensure that you carry your original degree certificate at the time of GD-PI.

sorry for bothrin u again...bt d issue s my coll says v have the convocation on 4th..n they aren willin to gv another provisional b4 that.. can i just send the marksheets o all semesters..ges then they ll knw i scored 77.xx..will that suffice??

Hi NITIE Seniors,

In the online application form, for the details filled in the work experience related achievements section, my office does not have any procedure of issuing certificates and all.... and also they dont give any recommendation letters or mails (inorder to retain the workforce with the company).....
i have work exp of 18 months... but i can justify all.... is there any chance that NITIE could reject my candidature on these grounds ?
Also i have got good academics and expecting reasonable CAT score....

Hi Karti,

That should not pose a big problem. We had a workaround for this the last year as lot many companies dont issue any certificate.

You apply for NITIE. We will take care of experience certificate thing.

Hi,

I'll speak to Admissions Office and try to get this issue resolved today.
In any case drop a mail to impact.nitie@gmail.com so that we can track your request.
Send a detailed mail, putting exactly how much you have scored over semesters, how many marksheets you have, when would you get the provisional certificate.

Hi,
Admission to the three courses are for engineers only. Equivalent means BSc in Engineering. BArch won't be considered as equivalent.

Hi,

You seem to have got a pretty decent total. But your call for GD/PI depends upon how others have faired actually.
The keys available on internet might have wrong answers as well as was seen the last year also. And that is a considerable difference to see one in or out.

So my take is that if you feel you are pretty well placed in terms of percentile or are on border line, then you should apply for NITIE

Regarding your second query about the DD, I'll speak to Admissions Office and will let you know.
