A no-brainer tip for the recent catastrophe (called CL mock 7).. don't consider this performance of yours.. treat it as an act of indiscretion on the part of the dimwits who conceptualised this paper..

However, tht doesn't mean u can get away without working for DI/LA..

Take up any coaching instt DI/LA material, or any other book.. try to solve as much as u can.. go thru the soln of the ones u cudnt attempt/got wrong.. seek help from fellow Puys.. and last but not the least, subscribe to DI Newsletter, and try to solve it religiously.. regularly visit the relevant thread to see how the Puys who regularly crack DI thought out the solution/approach..

matlab ki had kar di cl walon ne.

I suggest fr next mock paper to cl.

3 secn wd 4 ques each of the maximum difficulty level ( even more than that of today )

25 marks each.

then cl walon ki manokamna pooro hogi.

oye " bachhe ki jaan loge ".

ek to no. of ques. reduced and difficulty at its max.

aur uske baad jab 2-4 ques bane to pata chal ki nahin ...... ek do option aur check karne the......watt laga di confidence ki.

Eng thoda thik thak laga to usme adhi jagah to us MACBETH wale ques ne le rakhi thi.

In short a total "out of way" ques frm CL .

my poor performance :

QA : 0 ( 1c 4w)
DI :12.5 ( 3c 2w)
EU : 26 ( 7c 2w)
OA : 38.5

I don't think the cutoff OA will rise above 60. with 10 , 10 , 30 individually.

Hi all,

My Quant scores are in -ve .When i was writing the paper i had a feeling that i was doing good.But when i saw the answer keys, either i had missed some option or some of the options are wrong.Can somebody help me in understanding and solving multiple answer type of questions.If somebody has been successful in this can they guide me....?

hey...please send the link for the di newsletter...and for LRDI can you suggest any book in particular?I am taking classes from CL.

This mock reminds me of my iit preparation days where after the first step i dint no wat to do.I feel Cl takes meanings very literally.The mock paper is not supposed to be mocked but taken seriously. Cl wantd to mock all the students chasing the iim dream. Or perhaps they are sadists but watevr.
We shud take it in the rite spirit and its time we became serious.

How an institute that dont even know the basic definition of "mock" can teach english ?
If CL's CEO can give me one good reason - why this free mock was made tough then trust me i will give him 60% of my salary for the rest of the life.

Hi ppl, Guys I think instead of probing what the intentions of CL might be in giving such a difficult (Free! and ridiculously out of the zone) Mock, we shud all sit down and analyse each question from DI ( what I felt was the toughest of all three) CAT has always been relative yaar, the tougher it gets the more careful we have to be with each single question. When I see the cut offs say 20 when each question was of 4 marks I used to think .."Damn it cant I answer even 5 right out of 25 ??!!" for all what I prepped. thats what happened in DI today .. I scanned through every section .. thought I cud solve that professor's waala question "wasted" 20 mins on it....Nothin! Gud luck for Next mock guys .. CAT never ran out of surprises
