PG Underdogs Team (UDT) '07 -

Now that the BBLT and DT is up, we should be having the UDT too. So, here is the pg Underdog Team 2007.
Selection Criteria for the team will remain almost similar to that of UDT 2006. Here it goes (Thanks to Arun Unkil)
Proposed Criteria for Selection to Underdog Team:-
- Should not have ranked in top 100 in AIMCAT or SIMCAT etc. more than once (One time is allowed).
- Should have great motivation to do well in CAT and show the PG that he can bell the CAT.
Anymore additions in criteria are welcome.
Proposed procedure for Selection:-
Anyone desiring for selection to Underdog Team should post on this thread with his performance record in Mock CATs for CAT 2007, and why he/she thinks he/she should be a part of this team.
Total 18 members will be selected democratically (Captain + 10 playing members + 3 Reserves + 3 Cheerleaders + 1 Coach). But everyone else is welcome to take part in the journey of UDT till CAT and post CAT also.

Profootball (IIMK, UDT 2006)
Vijay317 (IIMB, UDT 2006)
Tatimatla (IIFT Delhi, UDT 2006)
While UDT 2007 is in the lines of UDT 2006, we may have some new things also this year. One of them may be UDT T-Shirts (Last year, UDT T-Shirts came into picture much later. We may have that pretty soon this time around). Depending upon the city of residence of the team members, some UDT meets can also be arranged (City Wise). Other suggestions are always welcome.
We are carrying forward a legacy which is already a part of pg Hall Of Fame (UDT 2006). That makes us proud while making our responsibilities bigger. Knowing puys though, the bigger the responsibility, I am sure better will be the response. So, let’s get started. UDT 2006 is officially open. Nominations can start from now on. Give the selectors some sleepless nights.

Please make sure that only one post for nomination is there. Mock scores can be updated by editing that single post. Don't post multiple times for that.

Who is an Underdog......
A guy who has not proven himself during the mockCATs (Many thinks, he is not a competition, but some thinks, he is gonna do it), but believes in himself & also believed by some..Who can go & upset even a DT member is an Underdog....
Well, Junta, urs truely had been an Underdog & will remain the same. This Underdog of 06 had gone ahead & proven to the Judges about the worthiness of his selection..So with this post comes my nomination...
My Mock percentiles (everyone knows, hehehehe)..If required would update....
PS: Can guide the team with my 06 experiences...
DTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT, beware this underdog is on its prowl...............

Avast ye me hearties...
The wonderful time of the year is here again.. Nominations for the UDT 
Sadly, we do not have Arun Unkill this time bucking us all up...
We do not have the support of the (apparent) millions who saw us spamming our way to glory and glorious colleges...
Also, we do not have the competition from the DT yet 
But lets strive to develop that...
Behold... The UDT 2007...
One team to rule them all, one team to find them
One team to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them
anyways, lemme lay a few ground rules here please!!!
1. No SPAMMING... as revant said, one post per person, until all the panelists make our decision...
2. No bucking up people
3. No congratulations
4. Read the criterion before posting... (anir-iim's post)
5. Have loads of enthu in all the other threads... don't let ur sad or almost there performance deter you!!!
6. Once the selections are done... No competition withing the team members... You all have to be with each other thru thick and thin...
7. And this year, we shall prove... Who the underdogs really are..

Hello !
Just as I'd thrown in my nomination last year without a real hope of getting in, I'll do it this time !
My mock scores so far :
1 top 100 AIMCAT SCore : AIR 88, 99.67 overall, balanced sections.
Other AIMCAT Scores : 98.3, 96.43, 95, 94 ( have missed out on the sectional cut-offs only 1-2 times out of the 15 odd sections ( 5 x 3 ) ). Sorry, cant give exact figures as the TIME website is still giving errors.
Why me ?
One big reason : I've already cracked CAT - CAT 2006, 5 IIM calls with 99.31 - I know I have a decent shot of doing it again.... Been there, done that......
other than that, i've been a consistent performer so far......... no sub 94 scores, all with fairly balanced sectionals.
Why not me ?
Got rejected in all 5 IIMs ( ok, waitlisted at IIM I, but then, almost everybody who doesnt get through gets waitlisted ).
So here we go.........
BTW, I believe Prem should be an automatic inclusion just for his motivational skills......

i also put in my nominations for the UDT team.
Have given only 6 AIMCATs till day ... One below 95% only
Got 99% two times and have missed the cut off only two times(EU nd DI).
Have not been practising much before but i hope the coming AIMCATS would give a true picture.
SO here i throw my hat in the ring ..(Posted my scores in repositry)

Giving my nomination for the first time here though was around for quite some time...
Have had a decent round of mocks till now.....best been a 99 odd %ile...and in 7 mocks cleared all sectionals ..and ranks of 154, 159 and some 200 and so on..
Why me???
cat 2005:79%ile
cat 2006:94%ile
cat 2007:....... am being optimistic...so lets see.. 
keeping my fingers crossed for the UDT!!..

2003 CAT - 99.27%ile; DI:80 odd; no call
2004 CAT - 99.77%ile; QA:80 odd; IIM(I) no convert
TIME Mockcats: 96-98 ile with one 91; My scores are there in Repository
Hoping to be in the Team tho will contribute nonetheless...

TIME: AIM 0816 -96.41%ile...Sec cutoff missd in QA...AIR was close 2 1k...
IMS: SIM 1-96.35%ile...cutoff missd in DI..hence no SIMrank..
MAX 1-97.66%ile...cutoff missd in VA by 1.5 marks...again no MAX rank...
MAX 2-97.28%ile...cutoff missd in DI by 1.33 marks...no ranks again...
SIM 2-93.14%ile...cutoff missd in DI n VA...
MAX 3-99.44%ile(til nw...wil gt updated as mre OMR's r proceseed)...xcited bt the MAXCAT rank....ma 1st 99%ile!!!!!!!!
have done modestly in d Classic CATs...touchin 98%ile n 3 occs...highest have been 98.8%ile in 1 ModAT...
well why am i an underdog??...i am fairly consistent in d sense i generally don fall below 96%ile n mos occassions...
clrd all 3 cutoffs on few occs...mayb a couple f tyms...othrwise mis d cutoffs in 1sec or d othr by a whisker(consider d fact dat IMS kips v high sec cutoffs)...i m a fresher n this is ma 1st attempt at crackin d CAT...i feel n ma day...i hav it in me 2 go d distance...i feel if i keep peggin away n stay focussed in d dayz 2 cme i can realize ma dream...ma scores indicate i still havent peaked...still havent reached d zone where i feel i deserve 2 b...n i bliv in ma potential...i really hpe UDT carries d legacy forward...n wanna b a part f it...
i hope 2 contribute to the team irrespective f ma selection...gt dat fight unto death thing in me...hope d spirits stay high till D day arrives...
