1. No SPAMMING... as revant said, one post per person, until all the panelists make our decision...
2. No bucking up people
3. No congratulations
4. Read the criterion before posting... (anir-iim's post)
5. Have loads of enthu in all the other threads... don't let ur sad or almost there performance deter you!!!
6. Once the selections are done... No competition withing the team members... You all have to be with each other thru thick and thin...

7. And this year, we shall prove... Who the underdogs really are..

Aisa Kaise hoga ki UDT 2007 thread pe I will not post. I am very much here alive and kicking. I will be here for UDT 2020 as well.

My best wishes with all aspirants of CAT 2007 and all support to my Team. I may not be regular poster due to soem reasons but will keep an eye on this and many thread and post whenever possible.

Ah! Finally. Having read the DT/UDT threads last year, it seems a treat to read this year's thread too. I have certain reservations with the criteria for UDT though. Do hear me out.

Should not have ranked in top 100 in AIMCAT or SIMCAT etc. more than once (One time is allowed).

For one, this year many puys are writing CL tests diligently too. I would wish to see them too in the selection, but with a lower cutoff rank (not 100, 150 200 perhaps).

Two, there are many well-deserving puys who wont satisfy the aforementioned criterion, simply because of their inconsistency or the vagaries of the papers, whichever may be the case. Please do have a look at my post (the talent pool) in the DT thread, to know whom I am talking about.

These puys will be stranded as then they wont get either DT( because of the brilliant consistency of the DT sureshots) or UDT(for the criterion).

I still satisfy the 1st criterion, but do make the selections soon, coz I intend to change that soon. The elite elusive 100 has been evading me often.

2)Motivation: I have given CAT twice already, and this will be my last attempt (even if I do get 6 calls and yet do not convert them). Personally this has been my greatest motivation and will be so till the end.


Previous CAT attempts
CAT-05: 98.7% Missed Quant cutoff (silly mistakes) by 2 marks (a speculation).
CAT-06: 95.8% Missed Verbal cutoff by large (75%).

Anir asks to show PG that I can bell the CAT. I am at a loss as I do not know how. It is so subjective.

Why I want to be a part of this team?
BBLT was my first choice, but I was not chosen. UDT is next, because I would love the thrill of competing with DT members. That was the dominant theme last year, and I hope it is so this year. Mock after mock, I keep telling myself "I will be back" Its time to realize this. UDT will be the ideal ground for this, with other like-minded puys for help.

Sorry for the long post, but I am in the habit of making those. Also I was not to spam. I draw inspiration from Anarchy in spamming, coz I see him almost everywhere But I promise I will refrain.

Was just digging thru the UDT 06 thread (strange of me to do that, considering I got the toughest exam of the first sem tomorrow :lookroun: ), and I found out this!!!! Talk of irony!!!

Of course! Thats how the system works

As for aforementioned necessary condition regarding scoring in top 100, it's not completely binding (i got thru last year didn't I? )

Any candidates, if you feel you are worthy of the UDT team, please do apply. The judges are there to make the final decision.

Hope to see a gr8 team being made once again!

UDT, to me was an adrenaline rush Full Ishtop

The UDT was a conglomeration of extremely talented people whose talents extend beyond screwing up a few sections here and there in the mocks.
These talents would definitely extend to cracking the CAT on THEIR day.

And I guess, as a judge, it is my responsibility to help pick a bunch of such fellas and force them to socialize.

Now, some ground-rules...UDT, as I already said, is multi-talented...
So I'd request a proper SOP along with ur previously-screwed-CAT %iles and not-so-screwed-Mock %iles. (Anir, I guess has captured this more quantitatively ) I already see a few ppl nominating themselves...but hardly a SOP. Puys, take time off those busy schedules and give your creative instincts a spur. Pen your SOP!

I can see that UDT has inspired a destructive instinct in Anarchy. The poor fellow was under the impression that he had to spam so as to earn a seat in the UDT. If I remember correctly, this is how the stats read:

Prior to UDT
Tatimatla: 700 odd posts
Anarchy: 100 odd posts

After UDT
Tatimatla: 800 odd posts
Anarchy: More posts than Tatimatla!!!

And...as they say...old habits die hard...here he is again!!

Finally the thread of UDT-2007. It feels nice to type in here. So pardon me ex-underdog for spamming on this thread. Brings back the good old memories of last year when i was trying to get into the team and once i got in, all those posts (spams if u can say, but can never beat Anarchy in that. He is the GOD of spammers). Could say that it was UDT which helped me channelize my energies and focus on cracking the CAT.

Can't stop being on PG . I have a statistics quiz in another half an hour (+ the most dreaded finance end term on monday) and i am sitting and typing away to glory on PG.

Now coming back to the topic, the selectors have already laid out the rules of the game over here. So hope it is all met with.


Last year the UDT threads were voted the best threads. I do have the belief in the puys of this year that they will make it the best thread this year too.

@greenspan : See, it is not necessary that everyone gets to be in a team... and its not like only when you are in the team can you contribute!!!
So the rules for selection stay.... I think anir-iim has been very clear on that..
