First of all sorry ki i was away from PG for such a long time. Agar Greenspan ka PM nahi aata to shayad pata bhi nahi chalta ki DT and UDT are being formed. Thanks for that, mate.

Now, since my mock results have not been that consistent, i cannot really hope to make it to the DT. Thus, i humbly present my candidature for the UDT.

About my previous CATs:
CAT-2004 : 99.05 overall (VA-99.17, DI-95.xx, QA-92.xx). Got a call from C (lone call, but couldn't convert). Didn't apply to the PGDCM and that's probably the biggest mistake i've ever committed.
CAT-2005: 92.xx overall (VA-92.xx, QA-92.xx, DI-72.xx). No calls.
CAT-2006: 99.05 overall (QA-98.4, DI-97.6, VA-91.87). Missed the A cut-off for VA by one stupid question. Sole call from I, waitlisted(7 and never looked at the site again.

I wish i could write more about my CAT journey here, but i made a promise to myself that i would write everything about it on the holy thread (All i wanted to say about CAT) only WHEN (not if) i made it to the hallowed portals of the IIMs. Even though the rules stipulate that one must write the SOP for selection to this team, i must refrain. Sorry, mods. But a promise is a promise.

I have been around on PG since December-2004. That was when the newspapers first reported that a site called PagalGuy.com had "leaked" the cat-2004 results. Have attended the first PG meet held in chennai and the second as well last year. In spite of this, my no. of posts are only 100-odd and my profile says "Expert Pagal". This is partly cause of my natural lethargy and partly cause i never thought that i could be a part of this cool, yet academically sexy gang called PG.

I suspect this feeling of awe and "not belonging to the group" was one of the reasons for me not maikng it to IIMC in 2k4.

Anyways, I digress. My mock scores are present in the repository, if anyone cares to have a look. I have written all i felt i could about my CAT journey till date without breaking my promise to myself.

Please consider my humble request to join the UDT. I intend to contribute in any way I can by logging in to PG at least once a day(on weekdays), no matter how busy I am. I know my inactivity on PG will be my biggest hurdle to my getting selected on UDT, but please, please do consider an old-timer, 4-attempt cat taker for the UDT.

Chalo I've bugged all of you enough now i guess. Will check back on this thread tomorrow around 10:00 am again to give my support to the junta here.

Hi All,

I take this moment to formally put forth my nomination for the UDT 2007 team.

This will be my 3rd crack at CAT.

2005: 95.6 &tile
2006: 96.83 &tile (71 tile in VA)

Cleared IIFT test in 2006. Got thru IIFT-Kol, was waitlisted for the DElhi campus......didnt convert (ended WL1)

Reached the last round of SPJain.......got the kick

My AIMCAT scores havent been great this year (similar to last yr)
Been getting within 95-97 %tile in almost all the tests....but somehow just not been able to take that final step.....

Havent crossed 98 tile in any Aimcat.....but never been below 94 either.
Consistency might well be my middle name

To sum it up, I think that I am a serious candidate for the team....

I came to know about CAT in 2003, my final year of engineering, and from then i have been chasing it. Yes, this is 4th and final attempt i am going to give. (skipped 2006) and here are my scores

CAT2004 - 95.96
CAT2005 - 98.10 (TAPMI select, MICA reject, SIBM dint attend) missed Quant cutoff

My strong & weak areas : From 2003 to 2007 July i believed that QA is my strong area, but after seeing my performances, i have realized it is not. (can u say I am good in DI? or did i take too much time? )
But I have aced (99.xx %iles) Quant and DI sections many a time and also I love them. So something in me says that I can do it.

And lately i have started going through number system thread too , so with the help of fellow puys, i must be comfortably placed to handle QA and DI before the D Day.

Again till mid 2007 i believed that VA is my weak area. Indeed i was really weak in VA till 2004, and after that I developed some kinda liking towards reading, and now I am pretty much comfortable (consistently around 94 - 98 %ile) in it.

I have got a new internet connection at home, so i hope to open pagalguy more often and get/contribute more.

Hoping for a fun-filled, competitive journey towards chasing CAT for one last time.

I also want my underdog TEE. Anir if you forget me then you will not escape (take this threat very seriously). At least old member should also be given the Tees (on chargeable basis will be OK).

ahh, don't make me feel ashamed unkil. How can I or for that matter anyone related to UDT forget you? Whatever I am doing here is just carrying forward your legacy ... So, you should be the one arranging for UDT2006 Tees, and I am demanding the same as a team member..
