Hey,

can anyone tip me as to how must i go abt preparing for CATs and how to go abt attempting MOCK CATs. ie time split up etc.. T's quiet difficult to cope up wid college studies n CAT prep.. So, i spend very very very less time on CAT.. can anyone suggest a way out for all these plz????!!!

my two cents:
work on all the three sections n give sectionals first...build up your confidence by reading more n more stuff (for VA) as well as practicing a lot(for DI n QA)...
Next:
join a test series frm TIME/IMS/CL...analyse these mocks n tune your performance with each test...

keep up the efforts n u'll do good!

Can Someone explain to me teh soluiton given for question No 15.

Question is... If in each of TEST-2, TEST-3,TEST4, no two candidates had an equal number of questions then find max possible net marks that any candidate could ahve scored in all 4 tests put togetther.??

Since we have 4 candidates and the number of questions in TEST 2 can be 3 or 4 or 5( maximum) how can the condition given above be satisified.

Well if someone has discussed the problem previously please provide teh link... Else is there anyting wrong with my inerpretation of the question??

In test 2, a candidate may have 3, 4 or 5 questions. But a candidate may not qualify for the 2nd test , see there is this condition as well (if he doesn't attempt any questions correctly).

So, for our solution one candidate will not qualify for the 2nd test

If u r getting scores like what u have got in 809, then u r worrying too much. CAT prep is not so much abt spending a good amount of time. Time required will be different for different people, and no one else can suggest what amount of time wil be required by you. That decision will have to be taken by yourself. Speaking abt college studies, it is even more difficult when someone is working. So, if working guys can find time, there is no reason that you can't get it.

Anyways, only thing I would tell u is keep faith in ur own abilities. If someone can get a top 10 AIR in any of the TIME mocks (as u have done in this one), he must be good enough to crack CAT out of shape. You are there, don't worry abt prep too much, it's the end result that matters.

By the way, can you give us an idea abt ur other percentiles? That will help in getting a better idea abt prep and also in suggesting anything. As of now, all I know is score in 809, and that always will make us feel that u don't need any serious prep anymore.

Again, congrats for a Top 5 score.
