Hey varun, sorry for the late reply..
Here are some of the answers:

cut off @ nirma in CAT 2005: 90 percentile
cut off @ nirma in CAT 2006: 92 percentile
cut off @ nirma in CAT 2007: expected to go up ..

The faculty can be divided into core and visiting. Core faculty is highly qualified with majority of them Phd and expert in their domain. Many of them have industry experience and are part of the college since the start of MBA course. Visiting faculty comes from various companies as well as from IIMA, MICA. We have guest lectures every now and then and live projects in industry happen in the second year.

Placement scene has been very good over the years with 100% campus placements.
Last year's stats [in lacs per annum]:
Highest package: 9.2
Lowest package: 4.75
Average package: 6.73
Median package: 6.52

I hav 1.3 yr(now, but at the time of joining i will be completing 2 year ) of wok ex in a softw firm
passd from NIT with a CGPA pf 7.93
Extracurriculars are decent

So wat min percentile score will be reqd by me to get a call......

Also can u please thrw som light on the recruiters and the Prefferd specialization in NIRMA..which people opt for

Hey Shashank

There is no different cut off for work ex ppl and simple graduates. As mentioned in my earlier post, cut off @ nirma in CAT 2006 was 92 percentile. Work ex has added advantage in the final selection as there is some weightage for the same in the final process during the GD/PI stage. Even I have a 3 years work ex in IT and there are 18 students with more than 2 yr work ex and in all 57 people with some work ex out of a batch of 125.

The specialization is dual - Major and Minor where in most of the students opt for Finance/Marketing as Major and IT/Operations as Minor. Apart from these IT/Systems, HR are also some of the specialization fields.

i have a small query with regards to filling up the NIRMA form ... someone please reply ...

i have got the form for NIRMA but in that there is no envelope to send the form back ... and apparantly i could not locate any details as to how to send it ... ... i am a bit confused ... !!

can someone please tell me how to go about that ... ASAP ... thanks !
