no. of students who play only h=35

then, it comes no of students who play c=65
no of students who play f=65

haha Tanveer bhai, i guess thts a subtle way to put it tht we should not have the session on Friday night.

I think the timings should be a bit duiferent, not clashing with the match. Im sure u think similarly captain

You are absolutely right Tanveer bhai...THE MATCH IS ON!
We can reschedule the conference to saturday unless we want to discuss how our team can perform better in T20 WC

I would say, as Hameed suggested last night, that we all give a shot to SIMCAT2 (being a scorcher that it was, will help us for sure) and then we can have a discussion on Saturday night on the same...some of us have allready been through it, so they can pitch in as well...

In addition to this, let's keep QQAD test 5 in our agenda...

Well first and foremost, very good session yesterday...and special thanks to Vineet.nitd, Marijuana_user, and harsha for all the inputs ... and to IAYF for invites and the summary here.

Yesterday after session, wraped work at office, went home and slept.

Today did a RC test
30 mins, 3 RC passages read, attempted 15 questions , 11 right, 4 wrong , score- 10:neutral:

Then tried a couple of DI sets from AIMcat 719, one venn diagram one couldnt get the funda..referred solution and understood it. Another LR based set, 4 questions - 2marks each , all correct.

As for the Sessions, here is my suggestion -

Lets all take simcat 2 sometime before saturday evening, and we can have a complete autopsy of this paper that evening, we can start earlier this time...(being a saturday) at about 8:30 or 9 and go on till 11.

We can have a general VA discussion sunday night. This could be a 2 hour session.

For QQAD test 5 - I suggest we take it sometime before next wednessday, and have a discussion on it wednessday night - again gurus could come in and give some original gyaan.

Lets reserve next Friday for anything in special we might want to discuss or it could be a DI session

I think we can all plan our prep around the above schedule If all agree that is...

Hey folks!
The counterfeit coin problem can be addressed in the following way.Continuing from where we left this ...

If it is known that the counterfeit weight is heavy/light, the minimum number of weighings is n if 3^n-1 < N ,where N is the total number of coins.

Also,if N=3^k we will use k number of minimum wighings.

e.g , if there are 81 coins and it is known that the counterfeit one is heavier/lighter , then minimum number of weighings required is 4.

With 4 weighings here we can measure from 28 to 81 coins.


Now, If it is not known about the parity of counterfeit coin, as in whether it is light or heavy, then the minimum no. of weighings is k for upto (3^k - 1)/2 coins.

Like, in case of 14 to 40 number of coins the minimum number of weighings required will be 4.
This is just for detecting.

If you want to know whether the coin is heavy or light then minimum number of weighings is k for upto (3^k - 3)/2.

Like with minimum weighing of 4 times we can ascertain the parity of 13 to 39 coins.
