if there is a way to get the loan for laptop also, do reply.

You can tell the bank wallas that you're going for the laptop.... They'll thus cover that 35000 as well, provided you think that you can make do with a laptop worth 35000 (from the market, that is)

What exactly do u mean bu 'laptop fees' debayan, din't get that ?!!
Cost of laptop is not a 'fees' in anyway. BUT banks do provide the amt. for buying a laptop as part of the total edu-loan ,infact they can provide for other expenses as well, including that required for buying a two-wheeler.
But 'laptop fees' ??
U have mentioned ' for laptop also' in the last line. If i understand correctly u think it is separate from 'laptop fees' ??.
I guess there is nothing called 'laptop fees', but yes the buying of laptop is optional, and only if we as individuals agree to let the insti(IMI ) buy the laptop for us, do we have to pay the amt. of the cost of laptop.

Look yaar, if the person is telling you that they won't be sanctioning loan for OPTIONAL LAPTOP, he's a fool. Try approaching some other bank if he doesn't agrees. I am not sure about the other bank application forms, but in the form of PNB, they even ask for your expanses of cloth, food etc. They should approve it if other formalities are fulfilled.
Regards

hi nikhil,
recently i contacted one of imi senior who is working in my company(cts). he told me that cts came only in 2007 and didnt turn up next yr. he also told me, just to quote him "IMI falls into the Second Tier of Colleges for Cognizant the profile offered to MBA’s is BA unlike a SBA offered even to a fresher in first tier colleges i.e. IIM’s / SCHMRD/ XL."
i wanted to know wheter this is the case with IT companies only or even companies for fin and marketing also keeps IMI as 2nd tier coll as i have heard IMI's strength lies in fin and marketing.
Though the question is not going to affect my decision and i will be joining IMI for sure. But just for the sake of information.

I agree to the fact that CTS didn't came in this placement session. Also, the profile offered might be lower than that f other B Schools as he told you that it came for the 1st time. But which kind of companies we call depends on the kind of interest students show up. This year, we rejected TCS because of this Tier II factor and they have told us that they'll upgrade IMI to tier I status. But this hasn't affected the placements as such as the main thrust ares as of now is Fin & Mkting. So you don't need to worry about them.

Not at all. In fact our fin & Mkting profiles are improving day by day. So don't worry about them....
