IMT have many waitlisters who are admitted in IMI and they might be thinking of moving to IMT...any thing is possible....:hurray:....I hope IMI comes with waitlist having my name in it:gunsmilie:

Till now NIRMA .....
I don't think there could have been exactly 120 admissions before 20 cancellations took place. There would surely be atleast around 160-170 people who deposited the fees for PGDM and if you say 20 cancellations, there would still be around 140-150......

As I said before, I'm even expecting a waitlist. The people at IMI are being quite cool about it, and so should you..

Don't worry.... just let the IIMs declare their results.... There'll be a lot many cancellations and everyone who's paid up and won't be cancelling should be in for sure......

So chill....

That data he is giving is of 13th of April, after which MDI and SPJ have come out with their lists , so there is bound to be some movement for sure,

i think they just dont want to give 8 lists like they did last time so they are just waiting for some good amount of withdrawals and then they will put up a waiting list.

Waitlist looks obvious tho, 96 %ile cutoff is like a cream crowd with people getting calls from IIMs MDI SPJ NITIE , etc etc , so relax

p.s. ( i have not added IMT coz i consider both these colleges almost equal in overall standards)

Peace!

Parimal

Re: IMI,Delhi ::Admissions 2008 - 26-04-2008, 12:04 PM

Well there must be some error on seniors part since when i deposited the fees i was alloted no.138 n dat was on last saturday for depositing fees....however i have now withdrawn my fees....ATB to all waitlisters...just chill they must be waiting for IIMs to come out wid their result so that they need not come up wid multiple waitlist...trust me IMI is well managed in their admission than other insti...so relaz guys...list will be out n i thnk it will be out only after IIM results are declared...wat i suggest is that they shud put some notice regarding the same on their site..
Cheers!!!
Amit

Re: IMI,Delhi ::Admissions 2008 - 28-04-2008, 11:41 AM

Just mailed Ratna Ma'am with some queries and got her reply as well. Quoting both the mails.

My mail:
Quote:
Hello Ma'am,

I wished to know what is the procedure to secure a seat in the hostel at IMI? Will we get a written communication later or do we have to call and confirm our details now?

Also, I learnt from some of IMI students (2007 - 2009 batch) that last year, some preparatory classes were held before the actual classes started. Will such classes be held this time as well? If so, when is the expected date for their start? And during that period, do we get to stay in the hostel or have to manage on our own?

Here are my details:
Course Applied: PGDM
CAT Tr. No: xxxxxxx

I'll be grateful if you could help me with these questions.

Thanking you.

Yours truly,

Avinav
Her reply:
Quote:
Dear Avinav,

The preparatory classes and orientation programme is starting from the date which is mentioned in the offer letter (i.e. 19th June onwards.) That time also you can avail the hostel facility (if you got the accommodation offer) The hostel warden will send you the letter by this week.

Thanks.
Hope this helps

regarding preparoty classes - 28-04-2008, 11:57 AM

ok i see every one wondering about the content of prepartory classes

guys it wont be very hectic

the classes would be actually helpful for those who dont have a maths background and commerce backgrounds

3 day orientation ideally should contain

2 classes of accounts - where you might be taught what exactly a balance sheet is and how a business runs

2 classes of statistics talking about differential , integral , stats part

2 classes of microsoft Excel , word and PPT

and expect one day strategy game - ice breaker..

so dont worryabout induction classes..its a good time to actaully bond with people before the actual classes start
