Hi Akhil,
I have my IMT GBad executive MBA interview at IMT Nagpur on 2nd March. The reporting time given is 9 am although the admission officer has said it is ok if I reach upto 9.30 am.
Earliest flight avaiable from Mumbai reaches Nagpur at 8 am. I can't come by train as I have XLRI GMP int the day before at 5.20 pm. Can I make it in time, if I come out of Airport by 8.30am. Are direct taxis avaialable from airport which take us directly to IMT Nagpur? As per your prev post,I understand the airport is 40-45 km from college. I know it looks touch and go, but there seems to be no other option for me. Plz help.

Yes, the distance from airport to campus is 40-45kms.
Yes direct taxis are available from airportOne should not take more than 1 hour for the same.
But the problem is, there are 2 railway crossings in between and it can take more time.

But I don't think you have any more option. IMT don't take considerations for changing GD PI schedule.

If you can somehow change XLRI GD PI to the previous slot and board the last flight out of Mumbai.You can take a hotel in Nagpur for night stay and then reach campus next day 9 am through college bus only.

how far i the IMT city office from the railway station....how to reach there...ny specific landmark street etc.....???If i catch the mornirng bus from the office wud i reach on time....??? i am reaching nagpur the night before the interview...so shud i stay in a hotel near the IMT city office or near IMT nagpur itself...???

i wud like to sply reffer to this mail SHARIQ's...... it makes me recall when i was preparing for GD/PI in TIME (mumbai), their dir (IIM C) just said smting like this : MBA IS JUST NOT GETTING THE HIGH SALARY BUT GETTING MANAGEMENT INTO YR LIFE.....

hey its not the matter that college is new or old, as it wud help u only in ur 1st yr and as far as i think we all are doing long term planning here....isnt it !!!

its not that since i am from IMT N i am just boasting up,but sincerely we have to understand that its a new institute....once even IIM was nacent.

The insti got every thing- brand, infra,faculty (i wonder wat else it cal for) and thats all the reason of our rank.....just consider the rank of college which has not delivered its 3rd batch yet in the market !!

Moreover i wonder, why no1 want to take the responsibilty of developing the insti..why we require a legacy.. just get in and make every1 feel ur own presence!!!

We are growing ..and we are growing really fast,No1 knows what will happen 2yrs from now...might IMT N beats even yr dream college (ya it is possible, as its not something new in B-college industry...dont wanna quote the example here)

IMT city office is not far from the railway station, you can just take a auto for that.
I read your previous mail...i am from mumbai and the train (i think u r talking abrt sevagram) will drop u sharp at 7,but again its not advisable as you would be tired as per this schedule.

i would suggest to keep the college telephone no. handy.

Thanx to advice from u all i have rescheduled ny itnerary...i wud be coming by
geetanjali the evening before the GDpi ....night i wud spend in some hotel and gear up for the GDPI next morning....i just hope i find all the places easily as i ve never been to nagpur before....I got to catch IITB gdpi next day so wud catch the 19.00 flight to mumbai....hope this schedule wud be much less taxing.....ANY1 else catching gitanjali on 28th or deccan flight to mumbai on 29th PMme...

You can find any hotel easily. There is a place called the Central Avenue just behind Railway Station. There are a lot of hotels there.

And I don't think your schedule will be that tight. You can catch good sleep on 29th night.And come to city office that morning. And 9a.m.slot people, I guess, will be free by 2 pm max. So you can go back and catch 1-2 hours sleep/nap.

i have got call from imt for nagpur campus, but by gd/pi venue is kolkata .
i have not given kolkata as my first & 2nd choice.
can gd/pi venue can be changed to ghaziabad(first choice)
same thing happened to one of my friend also.

Hey,
As told again & again, IMT normally don't entertain change of venues.

But as you saying, Kolkatta was not your choice. You have to call IMT Ghaziabad and talk to the Admissions Department.
