yeah its my 2nd attempt but i need to do an MBA this yr only... i'm writing XAT n SNAP...but not very hopeful though..

Actually i dont understd Why IMT-N having such a low avg salary there cut-off is so high... do u think if i apply with a percentile of 89-90 n manage to get a call, i wont get a desired Specialization..coz what i have heard abt IMT tht u need to choose the specialization b4... i prefer a system/marketing/Finance specialisation and cant compromise on it...
cant study HR etc..

please advice!!

About having a high cut off and a low average salary, lot of corporates are still unaware of IMT Nagpur and as we have a low alumni network, it is taking time for us to build a brand among the corporates.For this, recently we had a round table conference @ Grand Hyatt, Mumbai where we call upon lot of corporates. The keynote speaker was Mr. Rana Kapoor from Yes Bank.

About low percentile and all
Yes.IMT Nagpur ask for specialisation while filling forms.Normally Finance and Marketing specialisations get filled up early followed by IT and at last HR.

As you have mentioned, I guess u can take the risk and can apply at IMT Nagpur,you never know what's in store for future.

PGDM General has 120 seats (Marketing & Operations)
Finance - 60 seats
IT - 60 seats
HR - 60 seats

How were the placements for the 2008 batch?

Another thing I wanted to ask the seniors is, that, the cutoff was 90+ last year, and you had no clue about the institute, about placements, quality of teaching etc. What then made you choose this insti?

hello sir;

i got 90.5% in cat..... can i expect call from imt -n... and one more thing ..one of my frnd got 83% last yr and he was called for imt -n interview... m sure because i hv seen his call letter also. and sir one more thing ... my quant score is low-53%.... any pro in this????

Placements for the 2008 batch is on.

I understand that the no one has much clue, but look at the website. The faculty are good and the infrastructure.

One major point is that being a new college,one has a great scope to learn a lot.
