college grades and iims

Iam a finaly yr college undergrad at NIT,Trichy . and i would want to ask if college grades have a big weight in the iim admission process. Iam by no means a college first grader but i have a specific reason and purpose for wanting to take up mba at the iims and i have also tried getting a startup running .
If people could tell me how much college grades make a difference and if a guy with not do good grades can still be hopeful of getting there .
