Hi Friends,

Quants : 6 [3 C ,4 W ][]
D.I : 53 [11 c 1 W][]
vERBAL: 26 [10 C ,7w][]

Overall: 88

Pathetic performance ,have to improve in quants lot of slly mistakes and leaving questions midway , Please advice what should be done , not able to crack quant.

The paper was as i expected exactly of the same pattern as CAT 2006. with the questions of similar style.

So i started with DI - My strong point, moved to Quant - didn't want to repeat the mistake of CAT 2006 by wasting too much time on Verbal. And then solved VA. Seems like the strategy worked (Altough not fully )

Anyways, My score...

DI: 44 (12c 4w)
VA: 29 (8c 3w)
QA: 41 (11c 3w)

Total: 114

Hi Puys ,

My Score is

DI = 65 (C=72 W=7)
Verbal= 35(C=44 W=9)
Quant= 44 (C=48 W=4)

Total = 144(C=160 W=20)

According to me DI was easy so i picked it up first. Verbal was tough or i will say ambiguous(CAT 2006 type). Quant was average.My Accuracy in Verbal is very poor.I need to buckle up fast.
According to me there are few questions for which answers are not correct as given in the key by CF. Probably there are some wrong answers which CF people has also accepted and they said that they will do the necessary changes in result if possible. Hoping to gain 3-4 more correct answers(Which are marked Wrong now :( ) .

Hi,

I have a little doubt/confusion... Perhaps you guys could help me out...

The CF site shows that my individual percentiles are as below:

DI: 94.xx
VA: 84.xx
QA: 93.xx

And overall: 69.xx

Now, as far as my understanding goes, the overall percentile should not be so less when compared to the individual cut-offs. In fact, in my experience, i have always got the overall percentile higher than the individual percentiles. (Seems logical too).
Could someone please explain this to me?

PS: the first day my, overall percentile was shown somewhere around 93.xx (which seemed reasonable).

Same is the case with me buddy.As per logic your overall %tile must be greater than or equal to the least %tile(in any of the section)scored. I fear that CF people have problem with their SIS.

My total absolute score is 144(Di=65(99.85%tile),VA=35(90.84%tile),Quant=44(9 5.67)%tile) but my Overall %tile is 79.5 .I have tried to analyse their system and found that the problem is with the addition logic. In the scorecard, which they have mailed, the total for all the section is wrongly calculated.My total is calculated as 19(65+35+44=19) and my percentile is calculated based on this score.

According to me this is the cause of all wrong calculations.Most probably i will call them up and check if they can correct it or not. Moreover there are some questions in the exam for which the answers are incorrect in the key provided by CF. Even CF people has accepted it.

Yeah, there are lots of inconsistencies in the solutions... No wonder, people prefer joining TIME...

Hey Dudes I have seen some Seriously Detailied Levels of analysis on their websites. I don't know why u guys facing this problem??:...I have logged in Thru their Scancode in their SIS n have found Me Vs The World Analysis which gives u the detailed analysis of all the questions u have attempted AND the ones u havent as well as the Ones u GoT Right or Wrong Vis a vis the "World" AND the Difficulty levels of each question et all...i found this more than wat i required...U guys Dint???!!!
Thou i would second the opinion about the Percentile Calculation problem...dunno why thts Hapening?

I had taken Precats last year and willing to take it this yr as well. What I experienced last yr was, the correct percentile score was seen at the end of all the scanning across India.
I found my percentiles to change evry hour. So may be, there is such kind of problem going on.
Lets see if thats the case.

Last yr also the CF free mock cat ws really not upto the mark but actual test series was pretty decent. Cant believe, both the papers were given by the same institute.??:
