Hi Whetstone,

Since you've already given GMAT, can you please tell us what all books you used for your prep? And for improving your score what material are you planning to go through?

Thanks in advance
B

certainly it will help greatly in CAT if u prepare for both GMAT and CAT.
Hi,
I would suggest you to give the GMAT before the CAT since the syllabus is almost the same but the tempraments required is different. A lot more effort is required for CAT to be Cracked whereas in GMAT only the basics and a little more practice sets is required.
I hope you find it useful.

Cheers

Can any body please tell me how many times in a year GMAT is conducted ??

How should one go about preparing CAT along with GMAT this year??
Hi,
The GMAT is conducted all round the year and its an online exam, u need to register and take up the exam at a center. check out www.mba.com the offical GMAT website.
If you want to go hand in hand with GMAT and CAT try giving GMAT before CAT and Syllabus is almost the same so you can take them simulatanously.

Cheers

Took GMAT yesterday 12th Oct 08
Quant 49
Verbal 40

Total 720

Slightly disappointed as the two mocks that i took from the gmat prep offical software i crossed 750 once.
Prepared only from the offcial guide. 1 week of preparation as i'm off job now.

I hope i do much better than my mock scores as far as CAT is concerned.

CAT 2008 - 99.68%ile Quant - 95.10, di - 96.42, va -99.49. Calls from L,I,K. missed C by 1 mark in Quant. IIM B only god knows Missed IIM A due to
GMAT 2008 - QA - 49 , VA - 40 Overall 720
I rejected MDI

Take it with a pinch of salt.
I guess you are highly mistaken about GMAT. Although it tests basics only but its a hard nut to crack. Try to take a diagnostic test and you'll face the reality.
