Re: Nonsense! - 12-03-2008, 10:01 PM

Hi everyone,

I am 40 something on the waiting list...Any idea about my chances of making it to the final list? And when would we get a confirmation, since I need to give my resignation & serve notice period if confirmed, like most of us Im sure....If next week, then can we expect it by Monday (17th March)?

Please help!

I think gLakes would give the new offers by 16th march, as it would come to know the number of people out of first list, who have submitted 50K deposit and accepted the offer by 15th March.

Hi seniors,
Seems like next and final installment is stated as 31st march in emails ppl r getting. Can u plz shed light on how this can be achieved for ppl who r planning to take loan from Indian bank (via GLIM)?? Whom we need to contact to get this loan and how long will it take to have the loan approved? Will GLIM wait till the loan is approved? Ur response is appreciated.

Since waitlisted candidates will have the almost the same time for preps as selected candidates (take one week), i think you should be ready for March 31st.

thanks...

but how much do we have to pay . just 50 k or more. and which amount is when. I have no clarity on this. if you cn help it wud be great

For all the PUYs curious to know.... I spoke to the adcom people this morning... As we know the initial 50K is not refundable... Also the subsequent installment i.e. 5 Lacs is not refundable... whether you take the admission or you decline... Money once paid shall not be refunded... Also if you are taking the indian bank loan and then you want to discontinue for some reason (like if you get admission in some other college...) You will still have to pay the money for the loan as the money will straightaway go to GLakes and will not be credited to you...

You got it all wrong... read my earlier message....I have confirmed from the adcom and the accounts dept at Glakes... What's more... some fresh news... I just received a mail from them... In case one wants to avail of the loan from Indian Bank as mentioned by Great Lakes then all the documents along with the forms duly filled should reach Glakes by the 15th March. Now they are really stretching it... I don't believe a college as reputed as Great Lakes is doing this... Seniors please comment... I am already having apprehensions about some hidden charges...

Seniors please comment in quick time... as time is running out... and we have been given very little of it... this forum thread seems to have gone dead... almost as if in a state of shock...
