I have a friend there too. the placements are not all that bad. plus they depend a lot on your individual capability and your profile (experience) . if the current batch is more experienced then the report will show an uptrend for sure

I am really surprised to find that a lot of aspirants are so eagerly awaiting the "official" placement report. Do you think any institute will come out with a negative report? All reports will atleast be made to "look "good given that the admissions season is peaking. I am not casting aspersions on GLakes but just saying that it would be a better idea to talk to current students to get an idea about the placement scenario. That will help clarify a lot of things which even a placemnt report can't. There have been posts reassuring aspirants that the placement scenario is a lot better than it was a year ago. But there are some people who are asking profile-based questions. I doubt whether an "official" placement report would address this issue. The best thing would be to get in touch with current students.

The "official" placement report will be no different from an election manifesto of a party desperate to return to power.

i think we all are getting ahead of ourselves by talking about a situation that we may not even find ourselves in.....everybody is hoping to get in.....so all this becomes meaningless if we dont get in.....who's worried about the fees if u dont make it anyway......let us defer this conversation once the results come out.....so that there is more conviction in our opinions....i know some of the ppl are pretty confident of making it....even then, treading with caution is wise.....wishing everybody all the best for the results.....and for all u know u may find urselves on the waiting list....if that is the case, u will have to wait for ur turn by which time the placement report would have come out....

Can u clarify whether 3 Years of Articleship experience with Audit firm will be counted as work-ex. for applying to lakes.Whether lakes have strength in Investment banking.
I am Chartered Accoutant into hardcore accounting work like MIS,BUDGETING,INTERNAL AUDIT in Manufacturing sector.
