Thanks man,,ur effort to keep the interest of ppl is incredible.
i can understand the delay and other formalities which is needed to done..

Still if we think abt other ppl its jst tht by givin notice we can save 1 month salary ..provided given in time..else we will be loosin a gud sm of money..
lets see if tht can be saved or not...If results cm till ths friday and classes start from 23rd april so i guess still v can manage saving tht money.,...

Now KayKay few queries i have

1.Does results come with waitlist as well and if yes when are those people confirmed for admission as classes will start from 23rd april itself

2.wat are the pre procedure for admission..I mean..whn we need to pay the money and confirm our availability?

3.SUppose if we get thru another college and want to withdraw admission then is the money paid refundable?

4.Also any light on placements..sm senior told me the avg for 2 yr wrk ex is 7.5 there...hw true is it?

5.Lastly wat is the job profile we get..if i want a career in makettin hw many such offers come..I heard mostly is IT consultant job offered thr..and wrkin in an IT firm smhw other line might be more lucarative

I would be really glad if u can show sm light on these..

Regarding the notice period problem, it is not only about one months salary . If your company(superiors) want you to stay there for some work or just screw you up then you have to stay for two months i.e through out the notice period.

I also have one question to GLakes seniors,
I have read about the new campus, so from which batch this new campus is going to start??

Believe me friend all our recos are going to be 98% similar to each other...

For your information I have a recommendation from the VP of my company and other from senior project manager and my common sense tells me that i cannot bank on these recommensations for a final admission...

Please understand that people here are frustrated and very validly so...

If these adcom people at Great Lakes is going thru the applications now then let me tell you it is BIG TIME MISMANAGEMENT. Didnt they know the selection croteria before hand? I am sure it hasnt changed afetr the GD/PI process.

If they required more time then they would have started earlier.

Anyhow I dont believe the people who are saying that they will now not take admission with GLakes. The simple explanation for this is

Everyday we curse the governemnt for the worsening transpoort (trains, busses) but the next day we do travel by the same bus.

The bottomline is guys lets just wait and watch while we form an opinion about the institute and i also appeal to everyone that they should neither write derogatory remarks about the institute nor play a saint and explain admission processes which arent conformed by adcom.

I never said it's confirmed by Great Lakes about the Recos taking extra time or some other specific process. There was a reference to Tele Interviews which I took from this site.

I never Called the Ad com except a mail which is not quoted anywhere.

It's my perception about selection procedure like other fellows who don't have anything confirmed except ther perception and believe its' delayed by institute rather Situations.

Sorry I never wanted to be a saint but myself only.

It's your perception which moulds people.

Request All Future Managers not to put any personal comments.

True,

Many companies can, if they want to, refuse experience cert due to not serving full notice period. It happens in this industry, whatever ppl might say. the only thing to do is to be all buddy buddy with ur managers and take care not to "offend" them... such a sad state of affairs!!!

they said the results will be on saturday marning by 11 am in the morning.

The "NOTICE PERIOD" issue is definitely going to affect quite a few future GLakers......I hope AdComm is taking note of this !!!

Regarding the new campus, it was answered by seniors and also mentioned in the FAQ that the same would be ready for the 2009-2010 batch.

Then again, as I had previously asked, Chennai based puys could update us of the pace of construction of this new campus.
It would definitely be a big boost for the insti. if this comes up by end of 2008.
