How to start studying??? This is a big question every faces. I will suggest that you get in touch with others who are also thinking of CAT and other MBA colleges. Have a study group with them. And then start making targets and follow them seriously. This could be a starting point for you.

And since you have not cleared your basics, so I would suggest that dont hesitate in asking even silliest questions or tricks from your friends/teachers (only after having thought over it for some time).

Hope this kills your inertia of rest and you kick-start your preparation soon.

hi..
i am new to pagal guy.com..
am a techie in infosys with 13 months of experience.. have.nt worked on any proj yet..
prepared CAT in 05 till july.. got placed in infy then stopped the preps.. still worte the test n got 91 percentile..
am thinking of giving it this time.. but am not sure if i have sufficient time to crack it sucessfully..i can dedicate two hours daily from now and more on weekends..
also i am weak in quans..
can anyone advice me if should target the cat this time or not and how should i go bout it..

Hey guys

Today while filling the CAT application form,I unfortunately filled all the square boxes using a black ball point pen.

But i filled all the OMR boxes using the HB Pencil.

So my query is do i again have to fill in a new form or is it okay with what i've done.

Please give me an update on this query as quickly as possible.

u hav ample time.. first of all... dnt think tat u r running out of time.. .2 hrs daily is enough provided u study with dedication.. brush up ur quant basics first... for DI be gud with calculations... squares, fractions... and start doing caselets... as for english... read read and read and practice.... join a test series if nt already joined... analyse mocks... tat wht all i can suggest as of now..

disclaimer- tis is jst a suggestion.. ppl may advise different strategies.. at the end it's ur effort and determination tat matters.. go ahead with great guns... All the best for the D-Day !!!!!!!

all tat is required is effort.. study, study and study with a focus.. and focus is CAT... dnt panic by ur scores.. i used to hover around these scores wen i joined time last to last yr... take inspiration from the quote tat u have written

Hi,All
I m preparing for CAT 2007 frm last 4 months seriously. I did my schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya(KV), Kolkata and Now in Govt. Engg, College and in 4th Yr., having branch IT and placed in tech Mahindra this Feb. In my school, we were not taught Grammar, as most of the KV. I was good in maths from the beginning. So, Quant, DI & LR was not a big problem to me. I have taken IMS Test series(have not taken any coaching and have IMS materials) in which i fared worst in English Section. Though, after mugging scores of GRE words. And understood, only mugging is not enough, usage is of much importance. So,now following the usage of words and reading Newspaper daily and seriously from last 1(1/2) yr.. But all was in vain.
Every time I gave the test I fared worst in Eng. My general strategy in test series was/is......1st Quant(Sometimes DI)..... 2nd DI&LR.....and at last ...Eng(RC,VA,..).
When i go through Eng section in exam..i m not able to concentrate...and most of the time in RC all options seems me correct. Most of the time out of 5 RC i m able to complete only 2 or 3. And I dare to touch any correct sentence Q's. Though, Completed Grammar this Yr. frm a Usage Grammar book and never studied it in schooling, But it is very hard to retain all the Grammar. Same case is with Parajumbles. I tried rule out option strategy for few cases but was most of the time incorrect. It seems me reading RC is not like reading newspaper or any Novel. RC given in reference material were very easy and in exam were really tough for me.
Sometimes I felt that as I m doing the Eng section last, So not able to concentrate and loosing all the facts and information given in the passage. So thought to check it by taking sectional test and will take in couple of days.
I have completed 1/3rd volume of the Norman Lewis and have had studied only 4 or 5 novels including the series of Sherlock Holmes. Following GRE word list.Reading Newspaper(Hindustan Times as The Hindu is not available in Kolkata) daily.

I know that I can do well in Quant and DI(&LR). So don't want to give up the CAT preparation.

So plz help regarding this..........
