TIME or IMS - 21-07-2007, 10:47 AM

HI Puys,

Need help here.
I am an IMS weekend batch student (bhubaneswar), was wondering if i should
join TIME's test series...since TIME & IMS would be having their tests on sundays, of course at different times(IMS in the morning & TIME in the afternoon after IMS's test).
is it wise to give both the tests in the same day?? won't it get hectic??
or should i stick to IMS SIMCATs only?

Thanks,

Tanushree

You simply cant take two test in the same day. I mean how can u? we become totally exhausted after giving one single test. I dont know how you can manage the second test after IMS test. You will definitely under-perform at the second one and that will only demotivate you. So just forget about this idea and select any one of them, take the other test at home. I hope this will work. Remember the importance of taking mocks lies in its meaningful analysis not on how many you take.
Regards
Kaushik.

IMS havent really started their test-series. Yesterday (thats 22nd July, Sunday), IMS conducted their free Open SimCAT. They had bended the rules a little.. in the sense that, there was negative marking for NOT attempting the question .. and the negative marks for an UNATTEMPTED question was more than Getting it wrong.

As I have noticed in the past (personal opinion), I found the DI and Math on the IMS paper "relatively" easier than the TIME and CL ones..

Since I have done IMS coaching n my frnd has attended TIME,I have followed them both and I rate TIME better as far as DI and Qunat goes for verbal IMS has got an edge but that again depends on which which city u r in..for Kolkata i Hope its preety gud.
Now cuming to the study materials..TIME is definetly better..and as far as Verbal material is concerned...IMS may be a bit better but then in English it depends on other factors such as ur vigourous reading and basic understandings as well.
As far as centres are concerned..faculty keep on moving to-n- fro between the centres n the best of the lots are available for all the centres i guess if u leave sum exceptions.
Hope u get some idea..if I be any help feel free to revert back to me.
Cheers!
rupesh
