Hi Friends,
I am also in a similar soup. Losing 70K in the process from SCMHRD.
Had contacted Mr Arun Saxena @ complaint@consumegrievance.com . His reply said he wont be fighting the case on our behalf but will be guiding us on the legal steps.
But for students like us it will be difficult for us to be present during court hearings and following it up with notices to Institutes.
I think we need to first write to the respective admissions office and in the mean time get some more legal advice.
Cheers!
Nishith

Go get hold of all your friends in and around the media. With obc quota and its implications being the hot flavour of the season ,there would be many media houses who would publish this story. And once even one of them will start to cover your issues others will follow the same not to be left behind. What all institutions will hate is to get a negative publicity and thus may return the money for you.

As I see there are many of you from same cities get together meet as some place .Some of you or your parents and relatives must be knowing some lawyers or may be lawyers. Get their help to get legal opinion on the same and decide what to do. Do not let any institution get away with the hard earned money. You have a legal option do not let it go . Once all of you meet in your cities you can try and contact various other city chapters as well . With this site itself you could do your networking. If people are together then cost of lawyers can be divided amongst all of those who sucessfully get their money back. Dont see any way in which you can loose remember the SPJain case last year.

Act fast do not wait for too long or else all institutions will get an advantage against your case .Also at the same time do not block seats in multiple colleges Also ask your friend with multiple converts not to do the same.

and as far as NMIMS is concerned they are 'very proud' of the fact that they are a University ...so they'll have to refund the fee. And so will SPJAIN and XL and Symbios Family instis and IIFT and all the other instis.....
so its time to whip their a*s. ......they've already made plenty of money in the past by forfeiting ppl's fee. .......

though the only thing worth pointing out is that ISB is not recognized by AICTE....and its not a University or a deemed-to-be Univ......so there may b a problem thr....

However..........................................
I!!!!!

I called up NMIMS regarding this issue and was blatantly told that the AICTE notice is for Technical institutes ie IITs and not for management colleges...
on the other hand IITD authorities said that they arent aware of such notice...

Is this applicable to NMIMS also? They told one student that the AICTE rule is for Engineering institutes only, and doesn't apply to NMIMS, Mumbai. Is this fair?

Now,What the hell is this???
Now we all realise how good the Indian B-Schools talk, and when it comes to act, they ask like money minded businessmen. They ask about ETHICS during PIs!!
