I don't think a PIL would be of much help in this case...because even if the judiciary is wise enough to see the light (again), the leaders of the greatest "democracy" of the world have all the power to "cajole" the judiciary into retracting it's decisions...No doubt that we are the sufferers, but I guess, amongst the victims only rises the Force of Change
Now I don't care if my ACKI gets converted or not...but getting inside this populist system and making changes is what is becoming my aim...And even if I fail, I hope somebody in this forum of affected students will one day be at that prime position in politics to bloody change these draconian rules 
I HATE politics but I will join it now...and I just implore to everyone of you, please do keep your anger of today alive, don't let this anger die down after you get into an MBA...and if I lose it, remind me too! ??:

PS: It is easier said than done, but I guess, this is the only long-term solution!

Maybe i am a loser, with a defeatist attitude....... but i have begun to get the feeling that enough is enough.......
i've fought with my parents for 2 years.......... they want me to leave this country and settle abroad. they want me to do my MBA / MS abroad and never come back. they feel there's gonna be nothing left here in a couple of decades due to all this rot. laughed at my friends who were all leaving for amrika and urging me to do my MS there...
i've always disagreed with them........... told them, this is my country, i wanna stay here. i said things will improve, we'll one day be really good.... guess i am wrong....... youth makes you foolishly optimistic.

While filing a PIL might be a good idea, I feel it will not be of too much use to us as it will only delay the admission process further, what with all the adjournments and stays that keep happening in our legal system..
The best approach would be to wait and watch at least for the next week or so, till things become a little more clearer...
The other problem is the UP elections, with parties falling over each other to increase quotas for each caste....

I also share a bit of your feelings...I have never really wanted to leave India for any reason whatsoever... be it for studies or work... and I have argued endlessly over this with a lot of friends and family....but some times u do get completely disillsioned with the entire system...
But no point in taking decisions in the heat of the moment....I still feel things will improve... And we will be the ones doing it....So guys, keep the faith....

But I guess you just donno when those a$$h***s fart their next round of shit....!!!! 
I just hope that with all this nonsense, the govt doesn't end up ruining the reputation of the IIMs/IITs in the world market..So much chaos over something which isn't even an agenda on any premier school abroad wouldn't do their acclaim any good :(
My heart goes out to the guys whose future is being manhandled here...:( Hang in there fellas, ride through these tough times & I am sure that u will see great days ahead when u are in your dream B-schools
