@hardilip here are answers to the points u made: 1. Yes it's ur FUNDA-MENTAL right to mark...go on 2. Not only he but others' careers are also in jeopardy..we all understand it... 3. My dear friend , judges at SC cannot enact rules by themself...everything has a process and it takes time...Judges at SC deserve to be at SC and if anything good is happening in INDia that is just the courtesy of judiciary...THANK God NO QUOTA is selection of judges at SC... 4.No doubt born in OBC families never means Sub Standard..... But yes not at par with the candidates who came in the institutes without any quota....you can't deny...if you are then do some introspection...if some OBC is coming in with his merit then no one has any objection..... And the last thing!!!! You are saying at one side of joining hands with general castes and on the other trying to suck their blood.....ask a general candidate whose OBC friend at lower Percentile will get into IIMs and he will not just coz of his blood ( which is red for all)....... And debates cant solve any problem.....We are living in a democratic nation....sorry brothers...demo-cracy allows 1000 donkeys to rule over 10 lions but thats not possible by the rules of nature.... So cant a IIM quota grad ( mind i haven't said OBC) compete with a general grad candidate from lower rank institute....then u will demand quota in private jobs.....Quota for an IIM grad in private sector......thts wat u gonna demand in near future...but still wont solve ur ( quota not OBC) plight.. Then quota in marriages....why girls don't marry us....quota in oxygen access in air....we have greater portion of ppl suffering frm asthma.....how far will it go... need is to improve the people not give thm reservations...improve basic education....wipe ot root problems... So frnds the best way to get out of all this grudge is to leave the country...let INDIA b a land of OBCs n SCs...then they will have 100% quota......cheerrrrrrrrrrrrssssssssssssssss Demo-Cracy is proving itself a hurdle in development of the nation...

hey friends,, i dont know whethr its true or personal opinion,
but i think its important so just postin,,,
my quants prof has done his mba from iit madras couple of years back
and whn i was discussin this stay issue he said that
hrd ministry has no right to freeze admission process or any mangmnt decisions of any center of excellence (iims,iits,nite n all) ,, but only problem these centrs might face from the hrd ministry is the grant allocation.. but i think if govt. reduces the grants then it would invite more troubles as we live in the era of electronics media n they nail goverment on this,, they why are these institutes obeyin this...........

PS:: as i said i m not sure whether its true or not,,, anybody please throw some light in this direction

The govt. has to obey the Supreme Court.
Also The decisions made by the Supreme Court shows the incompetencies of the govt.Also its coalition partners such as Left and DMK will play the OBC card.
Also it is jeopordising the chances of thousands of OBC candidates.

Whatever be the decisions the looser will be thousands of MBA aspirarant who are waiting for results be central funded unvesities.

Being a General candidate myself I understand the implications of reservations on many of us,the pain on seeing how easy it is to get through an institute for some while how difficult it is for many and many more things.However one statement by the late BR Ambedkar has broadened my perspectives regarding reservations.It goes like this:
"We need to have discrimination in order to end discrimination"...Its a very profound statement imho as far as the concept of reservations is concerned per se...of course vote bank policy measures and the self seeking,ignorant,hypocritical and slimy views and ways of the policticans that most of us ie middle class tragically do not choose to elect because we abstain from the electoral process is another matter and can only draw spite and ire from most of us and deservingly so.

what about those who are not able to get the admission beacuse of him thou they are more deserving ones.

Its okay if one year is wasted because of all this of a Genral Category Student but nothing should happen to our OBC's. Whaaaaa

anyways he can always take back his resignation. It svery much possible and many people have doen that. Also if he has a work ex it wont be difficult for him to get another job.

I spoke to the Director of IIM'A, Dr Bakul Dholakia through Army channel, at 1130hrs today...He maintained the same status....
"Capt, I am not in a position to comment on this right now. It all depends on the M of HRD. We cannot go against the ruling of the govt".

that's some encouraging news after 2 days of non-stop nonsense.. however this bit right at the end of the article dampens hopes again..

IIM Kozhikode director Krishna Kumar said that he expected the ministry to revert with a fresh directive by April 12. "If not, we'll raise the question about what is to be done then," he said.

so looks like only on the 12th we'll know whether the results will be out that day and if not then when!!

Its a good piece of news but I doubt they will be able to move nay forward without the concent of HRD

From outside it looks all good but at the end of the day your IIT and IIM are sarkari and there is a large bureaucracy involved to take any decision (particularly of this nature)

even if the cat chairman wants to declare the results and symphatize with you, he at the end of the day is shackled and need to work within the constrains.

So until and unless SC passes soem order I dont think its possible for IIMs to come out with result without HRD consensus
