That is the absolute question. And that is what is most likely to happen.
The news about the difference between the IIMs is more biting than this two days delay, since in anyway there would have been a saturday and sunday in between with all official work like resigning or fees payment for other institutes in any case getting stalled.
I can't understand how can there be a difference between the IIMs. The opinions put forward by IIM A and B were perfect, and noway anyone could second that.
I just get the feeling is there any thick head in the other IIMs like our beloved director of IIT Kharagpur S K Dubey. For you information he was the sole declarer among all the IITs , that IIT Kharagpur has all the infrastructure ready to take in more students through quota, whereas I personally know how good that infrastructure is.

I think this is more to do with politics. Every govt has its own "stooges" in all the elite institutions. And there is a governing body for each IIM. I dont think the Director can take a decision of his own.People like Mr. Dholakis and Mr. Apte can give it back to the govt because of their popularity and clout. I dont think every Director can do that.

In that case, IIMs may go ahead with the results. (am i too optimistic?)
I am more worried abt, wat if Court gives another date for the next hearing, say May 1st?

I can not belive that IIMs directors meeting got cancelled. Now it seems that IIMs are bound to follow the governments decisions. Politics is really bad in any sense. I hope 23rd april's SC verdict will be final. Government is seriously messing with brand equity of IIMs. Hope government is trying his best to expedite the process. Let's hope SC gives some clear verdict on monday hearing.

A meeting of the Directors of all six Indian Institute of Managements (IIMs) scheduled to be held in New Delhi on Friday has been called off.

According to sources, the meet has been cancelled over differences on admission process.

IIMs were to decide whether to announce admissions for general category students on April 21 as decided earlier or wait for the Supreme Court's hearing on a plea to vacate the stay on OBC quotas on Monday.

At the center of the controversy is a note from the HRD Ministry asking the IIMs not to announce the admission lists on April 21 until further notice.

The letter also says the government is aware of the issues arising from the delay and is taking all measures to facilitate the process.

Sources further reveal IIM Lucknow, which was to chair the meeting, pulled out at the last minute.
