GD/PI Format at IIMs:
1. IIMC:
Total – 10-12 students
Time to think – 1-2 minutes
Time Given for discussion – 10-12 minutes
Time to Summarize – 2 minutes. Candidates asked randomly to summarize.
Topic – General Awareness/Abstract.. Changed to Business Studies this year (Cases).
PI – 10-20 minutes
2. IIML:
Total – 8-10 students
Time to Think – 10 minutes
* You also have to finish a write-up in those 10 minutes that is used for evaluation.
Time Given for Discussion – 15 minutes
Topic – Abstract
PI – 10-25 minutes
3. IIMA:
Total – 10 students
Time to Think – 5 minutes
Time Given for Discussion – 25 minutes
Time to write summary – 5 minutes. Written Summary used for evaluation.
Topic – Case-Study
PI – 20-40 minutes
4. IIMI
Total – 6-8 students
Time to think – 5 minutes
Time Given for Discussion – 20 minutes
Time to write summary – 5 minutes. Written Summary used for evaluation.
Topic – Case Study
PI – 20-40 minutes
5. IIMK
Total – 8-10 students
Time to think – 5 minutes
Time Given for Discussion – 15 minutes
Topic – Passage/Paragraph
PI – 10-20 minutes
6. IIMB
Total – 8 students
Time to think – 10 minutes
Time Given for discussion – 15 minutes
Time Given to write Summary – 15 min. Written Summary should be in an Essay format.
Topic – Case Study
PI – 15-30 minutes

Guys I have a request ....... All people attending interviews for the ABM course of IIMA or L, if possible start a separate thread so that it can specifically help people from ABM point of view ......... another reason for separate thread is that there are goin to be few replies and they will be lost b/w a large thread of IIMA or L .........
