Hi!!!

I too was in a similar position last year. Was working and could not concentrate more on CAT. What I did this year was that I joined TIME classes. I was particular in joining the weekday batch. My classes were from 6 AM to 7:45 AM on Mon/Wed/Thurs.

The brought some regularity in me. I was fresh in the morning and was able to get the maximum out of the class. Also, i was in constant touch with the subject.

The disadvantages in joining the weekend batch are, as i have mentioned earlier one tends to chill out and also after 5 days of continuous slogging at office, one will never have the mood to go to the class.

I suggest you to do the same.

Hi,
Reading the above posts makes me curious about the aspects of joining Infosys or TCS now when the CAT is over........

I m a fresher n i m on my way to join infosys in a month time.......So once i join infosys.....would i b getting enough time to put my efforts into CAT again 4 next year.......or it is all over 4 me with CAT now.....?

In simple words....i want to know "Is joining Infosys at this stage a gud decision or not?".......

In simple words... "what other options do u have??" ... sit at home and prepare for CAT 2004 ??? naay... Join Infy man.. I was one of those "No-job..only-CAT" kind... after the tornado hit on Feb 15th... I finally realised my mistake!

u have no idea abt the number of people frm Infy who appear for CAT and also the number of 'em getting the final calls.
joining Infy will not affect ur CAT prep in any way.........

If you aspire to prepare for your MBA Entrance while at work, these are the few things you need to take care - which I didn't!

# Never take home your office work!

# Never get tempted to accept any overseas oppurtunities after August. That's the gr8est mistake I did during October 2002 & missed my cat 2002. My 7 months visit extend beyond an year which apparenly lead me to miss the deadline to apply for CAT 2003 ;-(

# If your determined to go CAT Way, then make it the 1st priority. Don't get tempted for those few dollar you may get immediately. Always think in longer term!

Re: jobex ppls ..give us funda - 18-02-2004, 11:57 AM

One thing is sure ....Preparing for CAT sitting at Home is not worth it particularly when having offers from TCS and Infosys.

Tall advise coming from me who quit his job one month before CAT 2K3 Version 1.0 after 2 years of Working (in a decent International JV) . When they expected me to come on Sundays evn upto one month before CAT i thought that enough was enough

Now I have messed my CAT 2K3 (Version 2.0), and am at a loss and now looking for Job once again. Now I have just one Call from XLRI with 97 % ile, with no hope hopes of getting any other call. And worst I am at a loss of how to defend my quitting the job at XL Interview.

So my advise is to do the your work responsibilly and aiming at CAT as a priority. So at least seven months before next CAT try to understand your organisation (if you are a fresher) and join classes and schedule your studies according to the your requirements so that regular prepration becomes a part of your system some time before the actual CAT

Well this is my 2 naya paisa...
