1) Dependz.

2) It doesnt matter buddy.... As you will specialize in the area of your interest and not what others take.

1) I was looking for more specific reply: if the highest and average pay includes internatioanl placements;then it provides complete different picture

2) Specialization does matter... suppose i wanna specialize in finance and the B SCHOOL does not provide me enough faculty and placement support then no use for me to waste 5-6 lacks... I hope it makes sense...

is it more worth switching my job or joining welingkar this year and get returns after 2 years?

hi chintan, see it doesnt work this way.take the entrance exams u wish to.hv a look at ur score and think properly.if u belieive u can score more, u shud take a re-attempt at the paper.and if u feel that this was ur peak performance then definitely u shud take up the colleges wich accept the score in that range.
its not basically about the institute.its hw much u expect of yourself.if ur score lies in the range which welingkar accepts and u think that u wont be able to better the same i think welingar will be a very good option.
it is one of the reputed b-schools in the country and has decent placements

It's not worth it...trust me MAN!

The people who join w'kar are mostly from one of these categories:
1--who wanna do MBA just for the heck of it
2--who feel good "chick quotient" is of paramount importance for any MBA class

But, if you have decided that you are going to join it and fear rejction let me tell you that WELLINGKARS IS THE ONLY B-SCHOOL IN INDIA WHICH DOESNT REJECT ANY STUDENT WHO IS MERITORIOUS ENOUGH TO COMPLETE HIS GRADUATION. THEy PREFER THE OPTION OF INCREASING THE NUMBER OF SEATS

the highest package of 11.5 is for domestic placements...

marketing nd hr faculty is the best u can have nywher....with vry gud visitng faculty for finance...

i hope such a late reply is of some help to u...
