hi friends...

i have a very avg. academic record...but still i dream to make it to my dream institute.

10th: 70% (cbse)
12th: 61.6% (cbse)
B.Tech(Electronics): 64.5% (UPTU)

no work ex. as of now.
i just appeared for MAT last yr n scored 90%ile.
now looking forward to give CAT n get into the best institutes of the country.

i read profile of a final call getter which inspired me; it said :
hii ppl,
my profile

Fresher

Background : Computer Science Engg from RIT, Raipur (i am sure u wudnt have heard the name)
Acads :
X - 92.8 % (ICSE)
XII - 64.4% (CBSE)
Engg - 7.80/10 (till 7th sem)

CAT Score : 99.37 %ile, QA - 97.32, DI - 99.46, VA - 93.72
JMET Air - 02, NMAT AIR - 02

Calls - L, K, MDI, NITIE, IIT-B,D,KGP, NM, NIRMA
Converts - L, K, NITIE, IIT-B,D, NM, NIRMA
Joining - L

L - GD - Excellent, PI - Average
K - GD - Good, PI - Very Good.

My advice to future MBA aspirants. Try to do well in more than one exams. They open up more avenues for you. Each exam has a specific strategy involved with it. Try to figure that out. Once you do that, its more abt how u utilize it. Basic skills are always there though. No substitute for that . And i think my profile would prove that bad acads record in school can still not stop you from getting into IIMs. All u need to do is perform well in written, get a call, and perform well in GD/PI. If the question of bad record comes before you. Be honest.

it did come in L pi. And i said. I wasnt focussed at that time sir.

Hi guys, I need some advice.
I am presently doing my 4th year civil engineering in rv college bangalore. My aggregate is about 60% but I lost a year due to some problems. I flunked in 5 subjects. Since the vtu doesnt change the total marks for flunked subjects it comes out as 40% instead of 50% in transcript. I know people who get through cat are all hifi. But I do want some advice as to what are my possibilities in getting through cat. I have been scoring 95+ in all mock cats I have taken.

10th - 88%
12th - 71%

hobbies- reading, stamp collecting , playing chess.
