hi everybody,

This thread is dedicated to all "working junta" whose left side
of brain is occupied by office work and right side is pre-occupied
by Quants,Vocab and Reasoning ability and more importantly
the fear for cracking CAT.
Lets not Bother about people who prepare full time for CAT.
Lets not be envious of students who get week ends for sure
and half of a day daily for free(This is no way intended to
look down the efforts put by students and other friends).
Junta may feel this is too early.But its better to start
ealry with a steady pace rather than cramming in the end.
Lets discuss the modalities of learning and try to hav proper cat-work balance.

PS:I was expecting Tech junkie to start it

Mods:I couldnt find a similar thread for '07.
If u feel this thread is redundant then kindly close it.

1.I didnt start this thread just for getting some 50 checklist points tailor made.

2.I had started this one to go till CAT'07 interacting with similar junta.

3.This would discuss all the grievances and possible solutions for working people.

Thanks for the thread.I am travelling in the same boat like u.

Now that the mod has given permission for the thread, lets not waste time anymore n strart posting our prep progress.

hi there folks..
i am anudeep ,
sort of veteren of cat for 2 unsuccessful attempts including most recent this one,
working full time in Electricity generation sector.
almost prepared to Kill the CAT ( i e if my lady luck smiles on me and i am selected for next stage and eventually final stage in either TISS or FMS!)
i look forward to great company .
i guess it would be helpful if we share our status of preparation, any experiance that need to guiding light for others..
and possible ways to counter the problems faced.

Actually i thought of not using this thread after mahips post, though he has let us

started by CAT_Banda..Let me post the same here again..

FYI:this is second CAT for me.SO no problem of Materials..

Broadly classify QA into

1.Number Systems

2.Geometry

3.Functions

4.Progression

5.Mensuration

for now.

VA:

1.RC's

2. Para Jumbles

3. Sentence Correction/spotting errors


DI/LR:

U know very well what'd come.


Let our prep start from Feb:

in QA:

1.Cover Number Systems and Logrithms

2.Solve from material and from Arun Sharma if u hav

3.Dont go for very diff problems now.

4. Once u hav reached a comfort level in Number system and log
take sectional test paper or previous CAT paper
and try to solve problems from number system and log

VA:
1.Start reading some magazine/book(u'd be doing this now)

2. do 2 RC's a day.(one big and one small)

3. After u reach ur comfort level in RC,take it with timings.

4. PRactise RC from CAT paper and other papers available.


DI/LR

1.Practise diff caselets,make friends with numbers(multiply,take square root,
square etc..)

2. For LR,solve some puzzles,then move to instis material.Of course
dont stress so much on puzzle.

3.Repeat the formality for DI/LR also.
