Ya am bloody veteran ... it really sucks to be tagged as a veteran ( at least for me)... My all the plans were blown up like a smoke in wind
Give a Simple answer which is cracking my head.... ( Basically a self doubt)
Those who were not successful; are those people who don't deserve to be doing an MBA as they don't match the IQ level or this is all about one good hit
Pour in your thought as for now am trying to get answer of this bloody question.

dude get urself out of ur depression..its like in this country al the time..u may be the best at something, but still u got to have luck to clear competitive exams.accept that fact and give cat again.i knw ul ask wat if my luck sucks again next year.well thats a valid question.i havent been able to assure myself on that either..but accept it..u cant do anything much bout it..by the way just so u knw, this years cat was a stupid test in which u needed luck.quant and di were kids stuff,n english was so random..i mean no coaching institute got more than 17 out of 25 correct in their solutions..think bout it,4 or 5 ppl sitting together n solving it could not get all correct, how could somebody giving the cat do well in english without luck?
cat scores or for that matter any scores do not reflect ur intelligence.i got 99+ consistently on the ims mocks..in fact i got 99.8 n al in their mocks..n yet here i am,without even 1 call.i didnt apply to much, thats another matter, but then i dont want anything but the iims.
so cheer up man..il let u in 2 secrets:
1.anyone putting in the right amount of preparation can clear the cat, given that he has luck on the cat day. :snipersm:
2.pick urself up,get out of ur depression n get back on the road.this is wat my girlfriend told me when i was totally crushed after cat results:i knw its unfair,i knw u dont deserve it.but pick urself up,coz u may cry,u may crib, but hey nobody gives a damn.
best of luck..

what i can say ...is that
i am too a veteren of sorts..
will be giving my 3rd attempt( in 07 if my Tiss and Fms attempts fail too!!)
though i have an excuse of being working, but i have my limitations of preparation though enthusiasm is overflowing.
so over the time i find myself surrounded in sea of depressing thoughts seeing the fluency
of others efficiency.
some of them i will share with you ...

> this remains on the front page of my everyday diary
There was a man..who
failed in business at 31.
defeated for legilature at 32
failed in business again at 34.
lost his beloved at 35
had nervous breakdown at36
was defeated for election at49
defeated for senate election at 55
was defeated for vice president election at 58
again defeated for senate at 58...
BUT HE di not consideredit that it is not in his Own to be a president..
He tried and was elected president at 60
the man was ..
guess about whom i am talking about.
so buddy pull it up...

Re: CAT'07 For "WORKING JUNTA" -

nice start shesahdri,
let me start by introducing myself,
im bharath, from mangalore, and i've attempted CAT twice
the first one was 2004 and the second was 2005, due to some workload i could not apply for CAT 2006, and so missed out on the race :(.
but, im certainly im writing CAT 2007.
i work for infosys, and its been close to a year now. by the time im ready to join the iim's next year i will have 2 years experience.
i got interview calls from XLRI, and XIMB last time, but i could not convert it.
and this time i got 98.91 in XAT2007, but screwed up DI, got a misserable 80% in that.
so no calls from XLRI.
anyways, nice to be in a thread like this.
will certainly contribute in anyway that i can. and looking forward to learn some new tips from u guys.
regards,
bharath

Hi buddies,
well me too a veteran in this CAT RACE with 3 years of ~98 percentiles (no calls as evident )!
Its a great idea to start soon and be comfortable with the basics. Thats the only way we can be at par with those who are fortunate to have good enough time available just before the D Day(those who will be enjoying their trainings and vacations - college dudes)!
Just a suggestion if we can form groups - meeting once a week or fortnite to discuss ideas and strength/ weak area (tried that last year and was very helpful).
What say?

I am with you.....that will make us reach out more people and also on forum interacting is other thing and inperson is other.
I believe that will make us more in the action.....we will be discussing problems and other stuff related to CAT.
I am in Ahmedabad and i wish if some one is in ahmedabad then we can make a group and plan out things...guys i am lazy guy i have pasted all things in my room (Tables,reciprocals....) but i am not getting time from office.
All i have read on this forum in last few days is to GET STARTED....Get Gearded with right Ammo.
SO i wish we will make the group ASAP and start working towards this.
Thanks
Subhash ( once we will have group than we will contact by email or phone)

no dude
thats not how we should go about it,
i mean, forming groups is fine, but if that is gonna make u guys move out of this thread, and start personnal communications, then the whole purpose of this thread is lost.
try as much as possible to stick to this thread.
let ur stragies known to others,
we all might benifit
regards,
bharath

It is not like that...we will be in this thread only as if you make any group not matter how big , that will be smaller than this which we have here on this thread.
We have people here around the country and share views and comments which i believe is Great thing.
Anyways if this is not gonna haoppen then "it is ok" we have this thread will work around this thread and let see how much we can digg out.
As this is kind of gold, gem of knowledge.....more you dig more you get and it will increase with time.
Thanks
Subhash

I agree with BharatRaj1, and infact we can share the outcome of the regular meetings with other members of the tread so that the whole discussion will not be limited to one group at one particular location but can be discussed amongst various other group at differennt locations.
I feel that way we can maximize the learning and the benefits of such a beautiful platform. Making a area/ regional group for regular meeting on one hand and sharing the ideas/ strategies generated across India on other.
what say guys!!!!!!!! are we all together on this?
Well I am putting up at navi mumbai, working with 6 days working schedule - so Sunday seems the only possible option for me:angry:
