why do i see so less activity on this thread kiams is supposed to be a reputed institute.

there seems to be very less activity on this thread,i got the prospectus of kiams some days back..any idea when the gd/pi list comes out.what process is followed in kiams gd/pi.is it just gd and pi or is there some extempore,group task......

to answer your question of why less activity

1)as i already said kiams never takes aggressive steps to promote itself
2)we beleive if quality bis there we will be recognised
3)ours is a family which absorbs just max 50 students very recently in our batch it
was 58.ours being the 9th batch we have just total alumni of 7*40=280 (based on 40 per batch.onthe higher side).even our first batch had only 20+ students .this pool of alumni is very less when compared to other mba institutes and hence may be less activity from outside.
4)i can hundred percent assure you that salary we quote as average is an authentic and not manipulated.even if it is low for example last year it was 3.75 average we put that as average.

i repeat KIAMS is one of the decent b-schools(we are not saying we are the best among
"-------"class b-schools" as "AL RIES" IN "POSITIONING" SAYS THAT AGREE THAT WHERE YOU STAND AND POSTION YOURSELF" for students who wanted a platform to climb the corporate echelon and beleive that " i will do my best with optimal resources in the environment" and management is all about that.

the max. salary our senior got this time 6.2 lakhs from ashok leyland.this is just for people who see max. pay as criteria (ofcourse "it is" after investment) but even a decent pay to settle loans and reputed company and working environment is also sufficient to start our career.

this time we received about 2000+ applications for 60 seats (as for my knowledge is concerned)



to answer the questions of gd/pi

kiams to my knowledge doesnt conduct gd

only management games/pi/a psychometric test

but it may be this time to start with

to just suggest you

you may know better any way

concentrate in lpg effect that is liberalisation privatisation and globalisation effects on politics,economy,marketing

if you have ten points you can handle many topics

then some thing about population"is it opputunity or threat"

but no one is going tom ask a hardcore management topic to discuss (99%)

no.kiams doesnt encourage after dead line.but pls make a call and confirm .i hope you would have filled in the form the cat scores.pls call to management.hope u understand

yes.u may be in the top if shortlisted.more chances of getting call for u.
