percentile reqd for SDM-IMD

What you said is right.They gave calls below 50 percentile.I saw one person got call at 42 percentile.But after that convertion of call is at 65 to 70.

thry call people with nearly 45 %ile but they are rejected even before their gd and pi

no doubt sdm is a good school but y to do so isnt it

Hello people

This is Surabhi, a first year student at SDMIMD. Well the percentiles for calling people as mentioned here might be true till last year but believe me these ppl could not convert it , and this year the scene has changed. We have received more than double the number of forms of that received last year and so to convert the call one should have a percentile above 75. Only if u have a work ex could u be called at below 75 percentile.

For any other query feel free to post it at Life@sdmimd. U will also get a variety of info about the college on this thread.

if those at percentiles below 75 cant convert the calls at any extent.then why should they call them at the first place

why to make them spend extra bucks for the reservations and clothes and stay and all

isnt it sounding a bit ambigous

and by posting this i dont mean to demean the college or anything i was jus putting the facts thats all

i too agree sdm is a decent isti
But why to put their reputation at stake doing these sort of things

I am Abhishek Goyal a 1st year student in SDMIMD and lemme add some more facts.
last year Business schools like Tapmi and UBS has given calls at 46.67 percentile but it doesnot mean that students got admissions at such merely low percentile.
In my batch most of the students are in 75-86 percentile and the most shocking news that a student with four and a half year workexp was selected at 70% and after first term he was sent back to home on the performance ground so u can think of the quality of education which SDMIMD imparts.
As Surabhi has already mentioned that this time the scenario has completely changed and we have received application in multiple no. than that of the previous year.
If my take then coneversion below 80 percentile will be damm difficult.
Lemme clarify the second agenda. Cutoffs depends on the no. of applications received by the institute and i think every SDMIMD aspirant knows that last year we received 1190 applications but this year we have received applications in multiple no. so scene has completely changed.
Anyways All the best to all the SDMIMD aspirants and results will be out soon.

this is vinay thakur,1st year PGDBA student.
well its right that institute had given calls for low CAT-scores.But believe me,i as far as i know there was no intension of making undue revenues.SDM works on very high enthos.If u just visit the campus you would feel it. Try to understand the mechanism.Insitute takes all details for giving a Call, considering your experience and acads.And there was no instance where students where sent without participating in GD,PI..infact during my GD/PI there were students with CAT score of 58-60percentile. Thing is that becuase of competition they couldnt make into final callgetters list.Moreover SDM IMD releases abt 2 waitng list for final call getters. Most of low Cat-scored people fall under 2nd waitng list but hardly few seats are left for them by then.
All SDM IMD aspirants should remember that SDM operates on charity bases from very faithfull and religious trust.Our campus is world class.. with single occupancy for each student. and that too with relatively lesser fees than other institute with similliar infrastructure.
