This article has really put things in perspective. Day-in and Day-out, we prepare "solidly" for CAT, memorising formulae, increasing the reading speed, cramming words, percentages, reciprocals.... et al.. We do all this without understanding the very purpose or logic behind the Test - i.e. to dig out really good managers.

So putting oneself in the shoes of a good manager should lead us in successfully scoring in the CAT.

A great article indeed. This shows that CAT isn't testing us for Quant/DI/VA but actually it is indeed a test of managerial abilities to get into a management institute to become a manager. Rocking Post.


What used to be written here was quite famous.

this was n amazin article!!
i mean the stuff written is probably very obvious !! but by statin the obvious in one go the article effectively gives u an instruction manual 4 crackin cat!!
but obviously followin these instructions'll take sm doin!!!

I am back to this site, took so long for 2004 slip to sink in.
And what an eye opener this was to start off afresh.
Now i can clearly visualize where it all went so horribly wrong.
