well, even i didn't find a single person who applied to both courses and got a call from only one. In most cases, people get either both calls or none. After this, there is a small test for qa with a decent difficulty level.

however, to cheer u all, this course has the best conversion ratio for any iim. arnd 250 odd calls were given last year for pgdcm for their 60 odd setas.. and i guess final offers were made to almost double this figure.

1. There is no criteria as to who will get which calls, nobody but the admission section. People having high quant etc getting pgdcm is not based on facts.
2. THe criteria changes(can change) over time
3.People get one call,, pgdm only/pgdcm only
4.conversion ratio.....wrong logic....some ppl get both converts...so the number of distinct ppl having final calls varies year to year.
5. official advice(yes this is official) is if you have background in computer science opt for pgdcm over pgdm. why? it helps you get a slight edge in 1-2 subjects, helps your CGPA, and CGPA is a very important.
6.non computer people also are in PGDCM course
7. Paper's duration in terms of number of hours changes, difficulty level changes, but is usually tougher level mathematics
8.its held quite in advance before gd/pi not one day befre gd/pi
9. please look for info on pgdcm on pagalguy,,,there is loads already available

hope it helps

thanks for the info, however having given the test last year and getting a convert as well, i have certain doubts or rather observations.
3. atleast in my test centre i.e. bangalore last year i couldn't find a single person with only pgdcm call, people had pgdm as well when they appeared for atm. just a rudimentary observation. obviously, u'd be in a better position to verify this.
4. definitely conversion ratio is high on 2 accounts. 1st ratio of no. of seats/calls is higher arnd 1:4... moreover, many people get converts for both the courses and a lot many of them actually take the pgdm one. so again it automatically improves the conversion ratio.
8. definitely false if last year is any indication. the ATM was held on 12th march at all centres and interviews for iimc b/w 13-18 march. in fact all those with a pgdcm call at bangalore centre had their interviews on 13th itself just one day after the ATM.

once again thanks for the useful info u had posted.
