First Of All... Best Of Luck to all those who are about to take their MBA entrance exams.

I've started this thread here cause there would be people who would want to know more about Alliance, Bangalore and this is the last year perhaps when Alliance would accept other scores apart from CAT.

I myself am a student at Alliance Business School and would be more than happy to let you know more about the institute.

can u please what is the score required to get a call from ABA in MAT.and please do tell about the avg. salary,placements,job profile and companies visiting ur campus.thanks in advance.

I think u shud first visit the website and incase you have more queries lemme know...

I got my call last year at 98.57%ile in MAT but people as low as 80%ile also got a call. The avg package is around 5-6L, placements for this year have already started with Kotak Bank and Oracle being the first to pick up students with a package of 6L. Around 25 have already been placed even though the placement week is in December.

Anything more, lemme know.

Hi Shubham,

I have three questions: -

(1) The details of my MAT Sept. 06 score are:
Score - 775.5
Percentile - 99.50
Furthermore I have 2 years work experience in software development area.

As per the "Mandatory Disclosure" in the Alliance website, the experience has got NIL weightage. Link - http://www.alliancebschool.org/pdfs/MBA.pdf

Do you think my score is still enough for getting into Alliance Business School?

(2) Are Alliance Business Academy(http://www.alliancebschool.org) and Alliance Business School(www.absindia.org) different institutions?

(3) Do all courses MBA(Bangalore University), MBA(SBS) and PGDM have same placement records?

hi Shubhamz...i got a call with 97.84% ile in MAT sep 2006....can u give me a fair idea as to the student profile in the curent year..and also does work experience really matter?

Me got 99.95 percentile in MAT.. the september'06 one.. M presently in the final yr engg. at GITAM, vizag.. Ven do ya think i shld b applyin 2 the insti??...

Firstly congrats on a very decent %ile in MAT.
Work experience is weighted pretty much here at Alliance wich you have a good record in. I will discuss this point in the Mandatory Disclosure and let you know where it is mixed up.
Your profile is pretty good to make it to the institution.
Alliance Business School and Alliance Business Acedemy are the same with a little difference that course under ABS is PGDM and ABA handles MBA BU and MBA SBS.
PGDM is the flagship program and is directly linked to Flint School Of Management-Michigan University. The course content and extensive training it is preffered over the other MBA programs by companies during placement.
