Hi Pals!

Me created this thread for those,who are unaware as like me about the PVT companies experiences.


Here goes mine-Me an MBA aspirant and will take CAT this year.I request all seniors and guys who can aid us out regarding PVT LTD experiences.

Dear, I had been functioning at a PVT company for 2 years it`s hadnt esteemed in market it was just small company and I was performing there as a Marketing Executive and 1 year as well in my family business which is printing press as well as publication of local books and forms(Now am working with HDFC Bank as Sales Executive just for 1 month) .My questions are,does PVT exp Counts at B-schools?,if you nod,then, what they will ask me to show during the interview phase and if not,then Y?.Assist me out

Well mate lets just say that work ex counts .....n till the time its genuine it doesnt matter wether u got it from a small private company or a big monolith!the point is your work experience's genuiness is what they will be gauging in the interview and probably they will be trying to know that how it would help u in your mba and what value addition will u provide to your batchmates.There is no reason whatsoever to get concerned abt ur wrk ex from a small co....hell man i have seen ppl with even fake wrk exp certificates making it to IIM.So relaxx...

knowledge about work counts buddy!

Your job experience is a reflection of your overall attitude towards life and professional carrier. So if you have really weally worked hard in your jobs, it will show up somewhere during PI.

Cerificates are important, but not the deciding factors.

rightly said... even though am not quite sure of the last point u made regarding fake work ex certis.. Yeah pvt or family work ex does count.. u might have to produce some letter on the official letter pad of the pvt company or family business stating the period you worked and the nature of responsibilities you handled. Also, you may provide a few references for verification purposes. Just confirm as and when the need arises. But for now concentrate on the written part of the exams and fillforms assuming your entire work ex will count...

I wasted two years (july 2007-july 2009).I have to give cat 2009 & present time I am doing well in mock but not very good like (99+) due to weak vocab & weak english.MY dream is to get admision in top institute (IIMs) .
so If I give cat 2010 then three years will be compleated aftar B.tech degree(2004-2007)(6.6 cgpa) without work ex ,so plz tell me if i get decent percentile (99.80-100)then Will IIMs call me & how will consider thease three years gap in personal interview.How will it effect .(with a good percentile ,good communication skill,good & deep knowledge of engineering subjects,geography,General awarness.Is there any chance/any hope for getting admsion in top institute ( like IIMs).plz help me out
and another thing is ..ppl advised me for making work ex from sector in which I have good knowledge ..he told me he has seen many pplz with fake work ex have got admsion in IIMs
