SP Jain Interview calls/experiences

Hi People!
I am writing to this forum for the first time!
Had my SPJain interview on 28th in Bangalore.(This was my first interview at SPJAIN).

Had a GI first , 3 out of 6 got eliminated..Thankfully I was allowed to get into the next round

Next GI was a kind of very monotonous one...I really could not make out what they were looking for..or even for that matter who could be the winners out of that round!
They asked us to relate ourselves to a bird and tell them which bird...we all gave our own answers..but no questions asked as to why that bird etc!!! kind of psychological analysis I guess

MAT was good...nothing much but for same questions asked in different ways.

But we dint have any 3rd round of interviews though! Any idea when the results are going to be declared?

hi guys,

my gd n pi were good But competition was terrific... !
i had my 3:45 pm slot in Mumbai on 30th, gosh i(t) got over by 9:30 pm!

highlights:
1. I was asked to sing (since i claim music to be my work ex:P )
2. All 5 of us from My first round of GI got in for the second GI...ad ours was a homogeneous group. all 5 of us were fr fin..and 1 girl with 6IIm calls and a CA with 3-4 yrs of work ex....i was like...(gr8...competition gaya )
3. a nearly 29 yr old guy after his prof degrees adding upto CA, ICWA, CS (inter) and many many years of work ex in a managerial position!...
4. One (cute) fellow in my timing had some 4 yrs of exp in operations and had applied for marketing, and the panel literally told him that u r GIis so good and ur perf is so good...just becoz u have a cat score of 33 % le in DI, v have to terminate u right here...and then they suggested to him that he must take up Operations as specialisation and get goig...and he did! :O wasnt that terrific...some guys r really lucky!!!
5. The ppl r so good at Spjain...u really wana b there!

IN all a good experience if nothing at all works out!

hey people,
lotsa speculation abt that e-mail tht SPJ has sent....
well....i had my third round day before yesterday....didnt know what purpose it served...will talk abt it a bit ltr....

but the mail that they've sent....asking people to update their CAT regn numbers....i dont know what its for...but im quite sure its not for another list of interview calls....

this might come as bad news to many of u...but considering that the final list is going to be out anytime after the 5th of april....i am quite sure theres no more interviews after today.

The news abt the final list being out anytime after the 5th, has been confirmed by the people at SPJ...i asked when i went, and today another one of my friends asked....both of us got the same answer.

anyways...comin 2 my 3rd round....
i dunno what the hell it was about....we were made to wait for 4 hours...and the interview lasted 5 mins!!!!

there was this old man, and he took everyones interview...they were personal interviews.....and he asked very general things like whats ur take on corruption....and he didnt even look at the certificates

at the end of my SHORT SHORT interview...i asked him what the purpose of the third round was....and was it a good thing i.e. was it a short list.....he answered that he didnt know....he had been helping SPJ since the past 12 yrs....and this yr too they asked him to take a few interviews....which is why he was there

all in all...i think the third round interviews were more to boost his ego than for any other purpose....

i dont know how much they will count in the final selection....
and i DOUBT if the people who took the second round and the MAT but werent called for the third round stand eliminated....

so hope lives.....

and anyways....everything will b out in the open in less than a week

Hi Guys
I had my GI on 31. luckily got through the first round (pathetic Cat %ile)....
First GI:
5 boys (Ops-2/mktg/finance) and one girl(Mktg)...
Four were selected ofcourse yours truly was there.........
only three Q....tell abt urself.........major work.......contribution to co.
then I had Second GI:
6 guys (IM/FIN/Ops-2/Mktg)
Very abstract Q........like will u accept gift on Christmas from one of your supplier....... around four Q...........same for everyone...........all of same. type.........
Then MAT............one hour of scribbling.......

Well I do not know abt the third interview.........can anybody post a msg who had GI as recently as I had and got a call for Third interview.....
One of my friend has GI on 8 apr so forget abt results till 10 I think.........
just a thought........

I dont think the list is gonna be out this soon. I think there are still some interviews going on...

It shud be out by 15 th I am guessin...

I called them just now and they told that final list will be out by today evening or tomorrow morning and u can chaeck it on website also
