SP Jain Interview calls/experiences

well having read the post of praveen what more cud i have said .......
same place............. same time ...........and same story
yes I also cudn't make through the second round.........was thrown out of the first round itself
our group consisted of 6 people among which 5 had opted marketing incuding me ( all freshers) and one systems (workex in TCS). and yeah our group represented the true diversity ............this guy was called for the interview when he didn't even write his essays (god knows why they called him)............and this other guy comes for the interview dressed in half printed shirt and looking as casual as he could(obviously panel took him to task for that dress up ).............anyways The panel consisted of 2 ladies a guy and a student(female )........ the interview started with short introduction of everybody. Then the panel started asking individual questions............. i don't know whether it was with me or everybody else but they seemed to be totally uninterested in me ............ they kept asking questions to everybody else and i was really getting frustrated.............. anyways towards the end got my chance when they asked about marketing............ i grabbed this oppurtunity to let out everything i knew......... in the process the discussion even went to the Nirma HLL case .................

i thot i handled the interview pretty well but as the luck would have it all 5 of the marketing guys were thrown out while only the work-ex guy was selected

anyways as it was a good experience..........was so much disgusted that didn't even have a proper talk with praveen ( really sorry for that yaar ....... will catch ya sometime later)......

some inside info...peepz who have already given pychotest wont be alled for MAT..(OBviously :-p)..for junta who did not get into the list for MAT, im afraid tht its the end of the road...the info is "everyone who will be given final admit will be asked to iven MAT"..so theres no selective "matting"...
the larger Qs on MAT (It helps if u give a thoguht on this since the time is a bit of crunch towards the end)

1. wht does ur elders think bout u ?
2. colleagues think bout u ?
3. u think bout urself ?
4. most imp achievement of ur life ??

also know ur %s from X XII btech etc..all those things written in form uve gotta write again ..better still take a pintour of ur form !!! ..

In short that means , people who were called for MAT /psycho test or who have already cleared the two rounds and has taken MAT/Psycho test may get a future admission in SP Jain.


Any idea how the MAT is evauated ?.What are they actually trying to assess thru MAT ?Any anyone?

Yaar Indyan...
There are some people like apna chrismba and someone else whom i know who are thru with their two sets of interviews (both group interviews) and the MAT(the psychometric) and have got yet another call for the personal interview... so it doesn't mean that we are eligible now for a final call (we may not be out of it... ).. there is another round of personal interviews it seems.. as chrismba has got a call.. so i think that if we don't get that call in sometime.. then it means tata spjain..

called up spjain to inquire abt the final admission results
they said that this is the final round of interviews...
so the final list is going to be out in end of first week of april or beginning second week...
btw, one of my acquaintances got a spot-offer from spj...she had 2 yrs. work-ex. in mckenzie and spoke very well.

Guys,

just came from the SPJ interview....!!
Reporting time was 10:45 and I was out of the center exactly at 4:45....(6 hours as they mentioned in the mail.)

Well I am back in the office and am tired and out of thoughts..!!
Would take some time to post the complete details.

Good thing cleared the first round of interview and so wrote MAT as well.

My details:

Working in call center as a tech specialist since 22 months.
Applied for IM and CAT percentile 95%ile.

Had a good GI...quite satisfied. Can't say about the final results...!!

Hi folks,
I too had the MAT/Psychometric test in bglore on 27th. As someone said earlier, 'time mgmt in MAT was as bad as in CAT'... I scribbled something for part2 and part3 ( have some solid achievements ) , but was unable to complete part1 ( 50-60 questions asked in multiple ways ). Do they really expect us to complete all of them ? Is there any issues if we dont answer all the questions?

Also, I am totally confused with the third round of personal interviews.. Does anyone have any idea about the criterion for its selection ? How was it last year ?

i am a fresher(doing final yr be) and had a precat call from spjain in feb.i cleared my 2 rounds of i'view and was called for mat on 27th.any freshers who hav had the same experience?? any freshers who had calls for any 3rd round of interview(...if they hav one)

Its me back again..

I got a mail from Varsha Parab today, stating that "Please update your CAT registration details".

Earlier, I was not able to update my registration at all.
I used to get a message that "Your details do not match"

I had submitted the form online.
My details:

3.5 years work ex in a top IT firm, visitors on SP campus for recruiment.

REC, excellent acads, but a loq CAT % of 92.7

Dekhte hai kya hota hai!!
Any similar cases?

yeah.... turns out tat WAS the MAT...
so i didnt have 2 write it again for the third round (small mercies )

i mean we first had 2 wait around 4 hrs ....
n when the interview finally came.... there were qs like

how many calls
which interviews are over
wat qs in those interviews
wat r ur views on ethics in bizness

lol.... i actually asked him wat the purpose of the interview was...
he said it was to finalise the list... wonder wat tat was about?

nyways keepin my fingers crossed
