I have my interview on 31st at bombay at 11.45 am

Particularly the one who could not clear first round becuase one can leasrn from the loosers the most!

i had my interview on 28feb and now have MAT on 28 march...i am confused about third round of interview??? waht is it about??? coz i just had 2 rounds...and now have a call for just MAT and no more interview.....

hi all,
i had my sp jain interview on the 29 feb... there was no MAT at the time... now some of my friends have got calls again for mat... but i havent recd it yet. ... is it supposed to mean something??? or do i have to wait for it??? are there anyone here who in the same situation as i am in????..... some suggesstions pl.....

Had the SP Jain MAT today

Test is a psychometric test of 1 hour duration.

But dont think will make it due to my screwed up percentile 92.11

honestly im quite confused myself, i gave an hour long test, which i supposed (and still think was the MAT) but now ive received a second letter from SP J which says sumthin like "uve done very well in ur interviews ... now we wud like u to come for another interview (NTHER ONE????? ) u may/may not have to write a MAT"

nyways for ur info... the MAT or watever test i gave was really cool... just general stuff about
wat irritates u
why do ur friends trust u
what s ur elders opinion of u
wat do ur peers think of u?
wat do u hate (i have written "green vegetables" )
wat r ur ambitions
wat makes u sad
wat is the reason for corruption in india
etc etc
and u just get around 2-3 lines ... so no long kahanis

also nther thing is lotz of these qs are asked again in slightly different wordings.... so try to maintain consistency...

there are some 80 such small qs... followed by some more qs where u have more space to write down answers... but similar qs....
also a section where u have to mention ur extra-curriulars , greatest successes etc...

the MAT which u wrote is the psychometric test that we had written when we wre called the first time.. the questions are the same.. so the MAT is the psychometric that's concluded... now u had if i am not wrong ure interview on the 14th. which is the same day that i had it.. but i aint recieved no call as yet.. when did u get this letter thing of urs... and wot are u applying for?

Hello folks,

Had my interview yesterday & herez my experiences...Having seen so many folks out here cooly clear all prelim round of interview ...never in my wildest dream had I dreamt abt what was to come!

I didn't make it past round-1 itself!! (Have already pinched myself half a dozen times but yes reality sucks! ).......I had 3 years exp in IT and had applied for IM.

Ok coming to the details...

My interview started as abt 10.30. There were 6 of us...3 guys and 3 girls..One member was from this forum..ROSHNI (she used to spank AIMCATs left & right...remember? )....I had applid for IM and also 1 more guy with 16 months IT exp....2 girls applied for Mkting and 1 for Fin. There was 1 fresher in the group who applied for Mkting.The panel consisted of 2 profs I think, then a industry professional (I think alumnus) and a student panel (who incidentally happend to me college junior )

The first set of questions were abt hobbies. Next they picked one by one and asked them about their choice of specialization. Finally some random questions...for me it was abt Outsourcing and whether if what US is talking abt it is right or not.

The entire session lasted for one full hour!! I surely had the least talk time in the group....they seemed to ignore me for most part of the interview..but whatever posed to me I answered confidently (thats how it seemd to me).

At the end of it all the 3 guys didn't make it and all the girls made it! At this momement I can conjure up 3000 reasons as to what could have gone wrong but would simple finish it off with *bad time for me*!!

I must add that they organised interview quite well...unfortuante cudnt make it to a good b-school! All the best to other aspirants!
