SP Jain Interview calls/experiences

ppl,

I haven't recieved any calls from SPJIMR yet .
got 99.8 for CAT, 1 yr work -ex and pretty decent acads.
Wonder what went wrong??
I get a message, u are not shortlisted for the Interview.....Thousand bucks down the drian i suppose...

so from what maloy has posted, we can conclude that the MAT is nothing but the psychometric test which some ppl hv already taken. and round 3 of the interview is a personal interview! is that right ppl??

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the info maloy. Would be of great help. I'm new to this thread and have my first SP JAIN interview in Bangalore on the 28th 10:45 am for Marketing Management. Got a CAT percentile of 97.7. Consistent acads. Hoping for the best. I would really appreciate it if the guys who have their interviews in Bangalore on the 27th could post in their experiences later. Just to get an idea of the panel etc....

Thanks for the info itsmaloy buddy!
Just when I and people who have their Mat coming up needed it most.
I think chocolat is correct ,this one's a PI combined with the psychometric test for people who have not had it.

Hi ,
Feel this MAT is same as Psychometric Test . Maloy there was a question like "Somepeople want Job Satisfaction,Some people want money,Somepeople want Status in the Society .......What do you want ?" Right .Just making sure that MAT is same as Psychometric Test.It was the only different question that I found from the normal pattern of paper .

But this whole process is a little bit frustrating right ?Wonder why they didnt conduct the psychometric test in the first round itself for people like Maloy .

I had my pre-cat interview on 22nd Feb..No MAT CALL!!!..Does that mean SPJ's over for me??..Neways gud luck to those who got thru..

Hi all,

me just joined pg.. need some help asap.. I had applied for Sp Jain via the online form on OCtober 23rd. I got their acceptance mail following which I send the DD. I had filled up the form completely.

After a few months (Jan, i think) I got a mail sayin "We recieved ur DD, but ur form isnt complete!!" I sent a mail to them. HTen i called them 4-5 times and I also took the print out of the whole thing and sent it to them via post and fax. They were not giving me any proper reply, so i assumed things had worked out fine..

Recently i got a mail from them to update my CAT reg no. and when i typed my old CAT number, the site says the number is not correct!!!

I then sent a mail to them.. for which , as ususal there was no reply.. I called them daily for the last one week.. the receptionist connects me here n there, to people who have NO idea about the whole thing.. I really feel these SPJ guys r

The problem is that ive got a percentile of 99.38, which makes me a deserving candidate.. and the whole concept is really stupid, cuz none of the problems were due to any fault of mine.. As im from kerala, its virtually impossible for me to go to mumbai to clear up things..

I need some help from huys at SP Jain.. COuld u at least gimme the name and extension numbers of RESPONSIBLE people at the institute, who could at least help me out..

IT would be a great help..

Man SPJ is history for me.Had my interview on 22nd Feb ,have received no calls for MAT.Guess they've rejected me
A friend of mine also had his interview on 22nd Feb has been asked to appear for MAT.So it seems those who have'nt been asked to come have been eliminated.

could you elaborate on what all you had on 22nd FEB?...How many interviews?...group or individual...any written tests?

Wouls sure ehlp us all out to figure out what SP is up to!!

about the interview process..dont they ask you anything about your specialisation?IS it most of the time personal? or are ppl like me...who have opted for finance goin to get scraped real real bad??
