Hi Puys,

Need some immediate assistance in filling the CAT form.
1) Regarding Block 26, could anyone from Goa University please tell me which number it comes under. I have marked number 4 option

2) Regarding the forms which are required to be sent along with the CAF form, it says that a copy of marksheet indicating percentage of marks obtained in graduation. I am of the 2005 batch and GU doesn't give any marksheet indicating all semester marks, so is it sufficient to only submit the last semester marksheet???(since the last sem marksheet contains the last Years marks i.e. sem 7 and sem

Hi Friends,

I too had a similar doubt as abhishek_b. I wrote a mail to both IIM-A and IIM-B asking if i submit the following document:
1. Provisional Certificate
2. Last Sem Grade Card, showing Last Sem GPA as well as th entire four year GPA
3. 3rd Copy of Bank Slip
then will it be fine? IIM-A replied back saying It will be fine. But, I did not get any reply from IIM-B.
Please note that I mailed to both the IIMs separately.
Taking IIM-A's verdict, i mailed my form to IIM-B, as my choice of centre was Bangalore.

Now what worries me is no reply from IIM-B. Does it mean, that different IIMs will have different criteria for accepting or rejecting a form. Actually it doesn't make sense at this stage. But, still i seek opinion of other people also.

If any IIM-B senior is arround, can he/she help us in this regrad?

One of my friend is from Vellore Institute of Technology. In his college grades are awarded according to the performance i.e. CGPA system. But the back of its marksheet contains the formula for converting the grades to the %tage.

So my question is that, does he still need a letter from his college stasting what is the procedure for calculating the %tages!!!!

i m in final year of engg frm mumbai university so wat shud b d value of box 26(Type of Univ./Inst. Code) ----- 1 ,2,3,4,.....?

wats to be filled in box 18(bachelor's degree If incomplete)?
is it percentage of latest sem(6)/year(3) or avg of all 6 semesters?

Hi Guys

I had mailed to the IIMs reg the degree percentage issue. I got a reply from IIMA (as usual the only one responding till now ). It says that the certificate stating the way of calculation of degree percentage is NOT required. I also state that I mentioned them that I have entered my percentage as calculated by my Insti, but my average is more than 70% for all semesters.

So guys those who have filled the degree percentage as the one calculated by the respective insti can do away with the certificate and just attach the marksheets.

guys i have just passed degree, however i havnt recieved the marksheet showing the aggregate score..i have two separate marksheets showing marks of the last and the second last semester..the cat application requires me to submit my marksheet, and a graduation certificate..i dont have the aggregate marksheet and i'd be recieving a certificate in december..please suggest..

How long does it usually take to confirm that the respective IIM has received my application.
Saw some posts where there was quite a long delay in them updating their d/b .
Have sent the form on tuesday morn , shd reach IIM A on wednesday , so have already started worrying about the status

i have send the form on 12 august to IIML..but its still not showing on the site..though i got it confirmed that they have not updated the page as lot of the forms are there with IIML......

I am done with the classes and all but I have pending backlogs. What documents do I have to send? Shall I calculate my percentage using the marks of the sems which I have already cleared or what???: What all documents shall I send along? Is there anyone else who is no more studying in the college but has pending subjects (or is expecting the result of backlogs)?:satisfie:
