Hey One of the institute is conducting Free Mock CAT@Bangalore.I think it will be a good idea to just give it a try so that we get one more view of our standing.For registration logon to www.pfindia.com. They have NATCAT series also which contain very good test with all India ranking.

Yeah thanks!! But I needed the landmark for somthg close to jayanagar or kormangala I already know the address but not familiar with the area..... If somebody has already bought the form in these areas kindly let me know....

sorry actually i am totally new to pagalguy...so was not aware that we are not supposed to disclose contact details..although i am workin in an mnc...still i thought things like confidentiality and integrity are restricted to companies only..and also the element of professionalism...i didn't know pagalguy is so professional in its activities..anyways gr8 going guys..i thought since the name "pagalguy" maybe its a fun filled timepass site...thanks for enlightening me...from now onwards i'll take care of tht..and keep in mind that pagalguy is just like an MNC...

Easy ? Difficult ? 90 questions or 150 ?? 3 section ?? 4 ??

well just about ne1 and every 1 has been speculating .... so i thot 'behti ganga main kyo na main bhi haath dho lu '.....


so here are my prognastications for CAT '06 ...... if it is bang on then dont forget to PM me on 20th Nov.

hmmm 2.5 hrs .... whats the main idea of CAT ?? ...get future managers ; ppl who can take decisions and tht too quite quickly ..... so for tht do they really need to increase the sections ?? ...... i dont think so ... read on ...

CAT '06 , according to me, will continue with the differential marking funda .... but what is most likely (acc. to me...blv it at ur own cost) ..... is tht these ppl will sprinkle questions with just 0.5 marks (say) in all the 3 sections ..... now whats the reason ??... well the weaker student who are not confident enough will jump onto these questions and will go on merrily solving them without realising under exam pressure tht these questions wont really help their cause..... on the other hand smarter studs will luk into the 2 pointer (or may b few 3 pointers as well) and try to solve them .... nt thinking tht they r missing out on the 0.5 pointers as they will b confident of cracking these questions .......

so wat mite b the net effect ...... every1 goes back home feeling very happy !!!!!
but wen they sit down to calculate their scores .... aha !!! then cums the real BOUNCER ....... 10 questions right ... but score ...ahem 5 .....!! ......

this can definitely b followed in all the 3 sections ..... yes in verbal maybe the gud studs wud do all the qs very quickly .... but what about RCs ?? .......

This paper wud test evrythng tht IIM ppl r lukng for in a future manager ........ speed (to some extent) , commitment ( go ahead with 2 pointer without thnking about .5 (say)) , decision taking power (may b a section's 2 pointers wud b totally un-attemptable....so one wud hv to go for the .5 pointers) , time distribution ....etc..

Finally i feel , because of this pattern , the score difference between the 99% and the 97% will b much more than what has been over the years .......

weaker students get 30 more minutes to solve the easy questions .... go as fast as u can ; u cant beat the good students .....!!
good students get 30 more minutes to maximise their score .... and hence my logic behind the difference in score .... !!!!


Frnds plz post ur reactions ...... if u thnk ths post is utter crap then do let me know tht as well !!!


So.... this or that ..... 3 or 4 .... bottomline is ... the smarter and the tougher will sail through ..... All the best frnds
