Hi,

I am preparing for my CAT exam and I hope to get your help through this site. I am also waiting for my B.Com (Hons.) result. I have just joined IMS coaching centre as I was out of country.

yup dere was not much of a calculation in di, cat is shifting from calculation intensive set to logical DI set. and its very difficult to diffrentiate between 2......i guess its matter of perception

but DI means data intrepretation not hardcore calculation...........and i feel there was many DI sets last year

Hoping lotsa PGs crack CAT big time this year as well......We all are always there to help out in any way we can !
Couldnt agree with u more...Even the heads of various coaching instiute have tought time predicting the pattern. So would request junta to stop thinking about pattern & concentrate more on the preparation. No one knows for sure what is enstored for the aspirants.

@amit- as i said its a matter of perception..........whether u consider a set DI or LR
but the fact is data r given in tabuler or charts form. and that is what DATA INTREPRETATION is.
but the absense of DI in cat ??: ............i guess probability is almost nil.

If this is the case then i am afraid to say that this will not be a good management paper.
What i personally think is that its the decision making, on the spot thinking, strategy which are traits of a good manager. By giving ample amount of time for few difficult Qs - will not test the above criteria. There will be no pressure on the person who will be taking the test. Manager is a smart person and not a total brainy person. (this doesn't mean managers is totally fool )
You all must have witnessed that college toppers who rote like anything (with exceptions) are not the best in the industry.
