Hi,

Regarding this question it is difficult to answer at this point regarding job satisfaction, better future & onsite opportunities because it really depends on the project you are placed in , which you will come to know only after joining. The pay factor is the one which you yourself would be knowing as it is in the offer letter, however you stick to Infy, there's a chance of getting ESOPs which is a little difficulty in case of Accenture. Having said that both are fantastic companies to work for

Cheers

i second that, what really matters is your luck as tht will decide in which project u will b put.
But one thng about infy:thr training is the best as far as i know
and one advantage of accenture is its global brand value is still more than infy....
lastly hearty congratz on ur selection....

If u r getting the same profile(as i understand u r a software engineer), Accenture is anyday better than Infosys. It has been rightly poited out that your onsite opportunities will definitely be dependent on the kind of project u r put in. That is not in ur hands. Go for Accenture. Best of Luck.

There's hardly anything to make a choice....i have worked for 15 months in Infy and 15 months in an MNC....and trust me there are pros and cons everywhere and no absolutes !!!
Just go by your heart...or better still make a toss.....

Thats exactly the point I made in the first place when I wrote "stick to Infy" , it does not neccesarily mean immediately, also ESOPs have a lock in period :( , so actually it is more than 2 yrs

Re: INFOSYS or ACCENTURE - 12-05-2006, 11:42 AM

ACCENTURE any day. Indian S/W firms have a beautiful tradition called "bench". not that you 'will' be on bench but by not being in Infy, you're eliminating that chance.

ACCENTURE has a better brand value plus if you wish to continue in the IT sector then Accenture will prove to be a better platform.

Even if you decide to go for mgmt. after 1 or 2 yrs. then again ACCENTURE scores better.

ACCENTURE has lots of consulting work. so this puts it a notch above Infy.

Infy could place you anywhere after initial trg. but ACCENTURE - you'll remanin in b'lore which has its obvious advantages.

P.S. I'm neither in Infy nor in Accenture. just an opinion based on people exp. n saamnya gyaan (GK... )
