Hmmm....Interesting topic....
I had joined TIME classroom class..Mocks 1 and 2 did well got 97.xx and 99.xx....(sorry dont keep records and too lazy to got to website....i believe in chaotic way of studying)
From AIMCAT3 , the test series junta came in and I was screwed..........My ranks hovered between 900 and 2000....percentile was stuck around 92....After AIMCAT 10, I decided to take a break and appear only for AIMCAT 15. This was becoz after the AIMCAT my entire Sunday used to go waste since I used to be depressed and a work ex guy cannot afford to waste a Sunday. Studied hard for those 5 weeks and appeared for AIMCAT 15 in a determined mode.Unfortunately had gone for a party for the previous night and had a bad hangover.The first 2 mins couldnt make sense of what i was reading.....but then the hard work of the last1 month paid off and got an AIR 76.(After that I seriously considered for some time to appear for the actual CAT with a hangover).....Did not appear for the next one since I was at home for the Diwali break . AIMCAT 17 got 97.xx and I was reasonably satisfied since I thought I was peaking well. I also took one week off before CAT and though this might not lead to tremendous improvement , it ensures u get in a groove.
Regarding my sections, VA was my stromgest section and managed 99+ from day 1 (Actual CAt was different). DI fluctuated the most and Quant i used to hang around the 85-90 % range.
Now for gyaan
1.Peak at the right time-...if u are a guy who is working and this is ur first attempt and u start studying in June- u are not gonna max all the 18 tests....ensure that u peak around early nov....Dont get intimidated by others results...
2.I have got a problem with the QA for mocks....The actual CAT always contains questions which u can solve by common sense and this is never reflected in mocks...
3.Ability to perform in those 2 hours---I know its easier said than done....but u have got to be at ur best in those 2 hours...Reading Anupams advice above.....u need to ne mentally strong
TO conclude my actual perofrmance
VA: 98.47 (apparently my strongest section in mocks but I attribute this to the absolutely ambiguous questions and my weak grammar- my actual score was different than both TIME and IMS answer keys)
QA-99.16(slightly better performance than expected due to a slightly logical approach to solve questions rather than a mathematical one)
LR/DI- 99.68 (quite easy section, at least 2/3 of those sets are solvable by plain common sense)
Overall- 99.90
So dont get disheartened by ur early performances- concentrate on peaking at the right time .

Some more gyan to share here.....
Finish the initial prep by the end of AUG/SEP so that you can give best shot at SIMCAT and AIMCAT....
Also while solving the paper always try to dominate the paper rather than getting dominated by it !!!

ok here are my two cents:
VA: mock cats....the only way(search for ur strengths)...especially for RC(also attempt those RC at home separately with time limit which you have not touched in the exam time)
DI: i will repeat what everybody says....practice( and yeah learn to keep ur ego down atleast during the exam time) so that u dont get stuck with questions ( i had an affinity for questions....sticking on to them and speeling my doom)
QA: if u are comfortable with basics but are still not able to crack the section during the exam time then even though those questions seem trivial during analysis later on, then
a) learn to search for ur type of questions (sit down and think which are the types of questions which you always do during the exam and scout around for those questions only...show ur studdaapaa with other questions outside the exam hall)
b) best wat to crack is to solve previos mockcats coz the material given for practice by the institutes is way easier than the mockcats, so just keep on solving quant section of all mock cats time n again until u sort of learn those questions( mind u the fundas are limited and once u keep solving then u can easily sail through)....atleast thats what i did!
and yeah one more thing which was said by someone earlier...PEAKING AT THE RIGHT TIME  ... directly proportional to the effort put in provided you dont burn urself out.

Hey mansoor,
click on the link "Compare your performance across aimcats", ur %iles will be there....they are not present when u check for aimcat in the dropdown list.
