Having had a long long thread on the hiked reservation news, with all of us giving it a piece of our minds, its time to move on.

Please read the petition seeking reconsideration of the decision rolled out by the ministry of hrd.

Kindly Elaborate the contents and provide some valid arguments to back the cause. A generic appeal has no weightage untill it is supported by solid arguments.

Elaboration - There can be numerous points in the favor and in the against. All that is being seeked here is a reconsideration, a hasty decision can ruin a lot - lead to degration of the quality of students that go into IIMs and IITs each year.

I am for the petition. I personally believe, that if any reservation is given, it has to be done on the basis of economic status of the individual, rather than his caste.

Hey guys!!!
good work but one warning......do u really think Arjun Singh and others who will pass the bill in the parliament give a damn about some online petition.....nope.....you have got to shout outside jantar mantar to make them hear your voice...and sometimes even that fails(remember medha patkar)........it demands a revolution..which in turn demands blood......no use signing online petitions.
P.S-people may criticize me for my views but that is how things work in this country and the reason why our country is going to dogs

THIS PETITION MEANS NOTHING AT ALL, unless the people who sign write their address , contact details etc. This has to be a semi-formal event atleast . It can be one particular person writting an automated program . (I can if you want to). Lets give them (whoever is to be petitioned)something that is atleast verifyable.
